"Nice little takeout in Norderstedt with very good food. The boss is trying. There are hardly any parking spaces available on site. "auf wunsch des 14-jährigen sohnes eines freundes sind wir koreanisch essen gegangen. deren erstes mal. ich bin wiederholungstäter. eine sehr angenehme erfahrung. gleich vorweg: ich bin sonst kein großer kimchi-fan. noch nie hat mir kimchi geschmeckt. bis ich den bei yang-zi probiert habe. ja, der war scharf und roch - wie scharf eingelegter chinakohl nun mal riecht - irgendwie tot. aber er schmechte mir! erstaunlich! damit wir einen guten kulinarischen querschnitt hatten ("der junge" sollte ruhig mal alles mögliche ausprobieren), bestellten wir einmal die gemischte platte für zwei und einmal "bulgogi am tisch zubereitet". plus hausgemachte frühlingsrolle als zusatzvorspeise. die saure suppe war tatsächlich sauer. und scharf. und reichhaltig. die frühlingsrolle war feist und fleischig und hatte wenig mit handelsüblichen tk-rollen gemein. der bulgogi (eingelegte rinderscheiben, champignons und zwiebeln) wurde in einem fahrbaren wok mit eigener gasflamme am tisch gebraten. viel habe ich nicht abbekommen. er gehörte offenbar zu den speisen, die man gerne für sich behält und nicht teilt. die gemischte platte bestand aus hühnersaté (zart), großgarnelen in tempurateig (das war der hit beim "jungen"), gemüsetempura (knusprig!), entenbrust (reichlich und zart) und einem im wok gebratenen gemisch aus hühnerbrust, gemüse und meeresfrüchten (einer interessanten kombination und wunderschön à point). wir haben alles alles aufgegessen, bis zum letzten fisselchen. auch das wok-gemüse-bett auf dem alles serviert wurde, damit es nicht "durchsabscht". besonders zu erwähnen: die soßen wurden getrennt serviert, damit die knusprigen zutaten auch knusprig blieben. gut so.zum nachtisch gab es die asia-restaurant-standard-nachspeise: gebackene banane mit honig. wogegen ich nichts habe. wir haben uns alle drei vor gier den mund daran verbrannt. die atmosphäre ist angenehm entspannt europäisch-asiatisch. unspektakulär im positiven sinne. der krasse gegenpart zu "selig" in der kantstrasse / berlin zumbeispiel. so auch die aufmerksame, ungestresste bedienung.fazit: ein guter norddeutscher einstieg in die koreanische küche."

The toilets in the cellar, just before leaving the restaurant, were well furnished and also very clean. Conclusion: This restaurant is obviously firmly integrated in this part of Norderstedt and is accepted by the population because it was practically full at the end of my visit. It is well accepted that the buffet comes also with exotic components such as kangaroo, ostrich and crocodile. For this, the price of €13.80 for the evening buffet is almost a bargain."

"Schon oft hatten uns Spaziergänge am Porter House vorbeigeführt und immer wieder hatten wir die Speisekarte neugierig studiert. Im Oktober war es schließlich soweit, von netten Verwandten wurden wir zum Abendessen hierher eingeladen. Das gediegene Äußere und die gehobenen Preise hatten uns viel erwarten lassen. Bereits die biedere Inneneinrichtung passte dazu nicht ganz. Bestellt haben wir Pannfisch und einen Porter-House Burger und mussten auf das Essen nicht lange warten. Die Qualität der Gerichte ließ dann allerdings deutlich zu wünschen übrig.Der Burger schmeckte fade; die einzige Würzung kam von einem Stück "Kräuter"-Butter, die weder Kräuter noch Salz in nennenswerten Mengen enthielt. Die Pommes Frites waren simple Tiefkühlkost und die Salatbeilage schmeckte wie aus dem Supermarktregal.Ähnlich lieblos zubereitet war der Pannfisch. Die unterschiedlichen Fischsorten schmeckten unterschiedslos blass, die Senfsauce hatte vom Senf leider nur den Namen, dafür aber überreichlich viel Fett. Eine Zumutung aber waren die "Bratkartoffeln". Ähnliches haben wir vorher nur einmal in einem abgelegenen Imbiss gegessen, in dem eine Kartoffelzubereitung aus einem Beutel in die Pfanne geschaufelt wurde. Was schon dort lediglich der Sättigung diente, ist für ein Restaurant, das sich selbst zu den "besten seiner Branche" zählt, vollkommen inakzeptabel. Ungebratene Kartoffelscheiben in einer schmierigen Masse mit undefinierbarem Geschmack.Lediglich der freundliche und flotte Service sowie das ordentliche Ambiente rechtfertigen die beiden Punkte für dieses Restaurant."
