"Zest is a great little place in the centre of South Molton. We usually eat here when we come to South Molton as there is a good range of food choices, and the food is freshly cooked to order and very tasty to eat. The tables and floor are always clean and the toilets are always clean and tidy and accommodate disabled and baby changing. This review is based on the Daytime Menu. There were 3 of us, and we had 2 Zest Brunch's and a child's sausage, chips and beans, 2 lattes' and a chocolate milk followed by cake for the teen. We always book a table as Zest is very popular and we been turned away on a previous occasion, so always book now to be sure of getting in. You sit down and the staff come over to take your order. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our drinks were served first and the food took maybe 20-25 minutes at most, which you would expect if they are cooking meals from scratch, including some of the best scrambled eggs that I have ever tasted. I asked to have toast instead of mushrooms, this was fine. The food was steaming hot when it arrived. We ate at 1pm and I like the fact that you can have a breakfast at that time of day and that there isn't a cut off time. In the past I have had poached eggs, cheese and ham omelette, soup and all these things were served hot and tasted great. I highly recommend Zest for lunch if you are in South Molton. The prices are good for the food served, there is a good range of food to choose from, including breakfasts and breakfast items on toast, burgers, cream teas, cakes, omelettes, panini's, sandwiches, pizza and a good gluten free offering too."

"have been for a few clicks and gather them away recently. the prices are still reasonable, but the quality of food, although good, is a bit short of the standard backside when they won national prices. the chips could be more careful with something. between brushed and fryed (removal of eyes and rest shell) and the dough can be understated at a occasion and soggy the side, still a beautiful meal. the real problem that must be addressed is the fact that the customers are still kept outside to order and wait for their food that is in the dry but no fish and chips for me when it rains this is the reason why this is not a 2 star evaluation. We should live with covid now, not run away. Despite this approach, no employees wear ppe, and there are no signs for regular hand cleaning that makes cross-contamination possible. added that the restaurant is not packed with any proof of social need, this is surely just an attempt to see something to do. it is certainly confusing. my advice is to click and collect, as eating is ready for the right time and is always beautiful and hot. if the problems with the problem of streuung and access were not present, this would have got 4 stars if the chips had been up to the old standard, it would have been 5. Finally, the workers are amazing and do a great work in view of the additional and my view after unnecessary additional pressure, they are expected to be under"

"Visited here today to give them a second chance as on a previous occasion it was so awful we had a refund because it was inedible, so this time ordered a simple cream tea thinking they can 't muck up a cream tea.wrong ! The actual place itself is a dream with amazing views very spacious etc so it 's hard to resist going in but the food is dreadful they really need a proper chef. Cream tea came out with two seperate pots of cream and jam with one scone each and a huge teapot for two. The teapot was really cheap and dirty with stains and a massively wide spout so every time you poured it the tea went all over the table a teapot needs a slim spout to avoid this. The cream had been stored in a freezer maybe? so was solid and rock hard like frozen ice cream so impossible to spread and as we attempted to spread it on the the scone (which was very crumbly anyway) broke into a million pieces .The the mess on the table from the spilt tea and the now mashed up scone from the frozen cream was ridiculous. Inedible again. On a previous visit we ordered an English breakfast it came out charcoaled and burnt to a crisp it was inedible, the sausage was dark brown and crispy the bacon was dark brown and as hard as a rock both dripping in grease. When we complained and asked for a refund the dark haired middle aged lady at the counter was very nervous and said ' 'oh the chef burns everything because he is sick of people asking for crispy bacon so he burns everything on purpose now ' ' Really ?"
