"Omg what’s happened to the Rice Bowl, it’s been a while since I’ve had food from here but when I have it has always been really good. I have recently moved to the area and have been excited having a takeout from here, this has always been one of the best in this area. Well!! The food was awful, the price is of the scale, just not what I expected. Come on Rice Bowl, you charged me ridiculous price for a one tray special, that’s rice chips curry sauce I asked for mushrooms I had a spring Roll you charged me just over £8, Rip off!! I won’t be coming back!!!!!!!!"

"Have visited the Quicken Tree many times over the years and have always enjoyed the food and had good service. However, today's visit was a different story. We visited with a couple of friends for Sunday lunch and initially things were fine. We were seated promptly, orders taken and drinks served. Food took a while, but it was a busy Sunday afternoon, so a delay can be expected. Then things went downhill. Food was great, but no one came to ask if all was OK or ask if we wanted any more drinks. Took half an hour after we'd finished for someone to clear the plates. We asked for the desert menu, waited ten minutes but no sign of it. Flagged down another member of staff who brought the menus, who then came back and took our orders for desert and more drinks. Ten minutes later, no sign of any drinks or deserts. Another member of staff came and asked if we wanted anything else. We explained we had already ordered but nothing had arrived. She checked and came back to tell us the order had not gone through, so we said forget it we'll just have the bill. Then the desserts turn up, still no drinks. We explained we were told the order hadn't gone through and did not want them as we had waited too long and had asked for the bill. When the bill came it was for a different table! By this time the restaurant was much quieter with plenty of staff just hanging around doing nothing. Customers shouldn't have to go around trying to get service. Shame, because it ruined a nice afternoon out with friends. Looks like poor management and poor staff training and poor communications. Won't be coming back and won't recommend."

"Having seen such good reviews for this chip shop my son thought he give it a try he ordered mixed meat and chips with a scallop having got home and opened the food the grease from the scallop had seeped through both layers of wrapping and had gone over the other food wrappers . taking it out the wrapper it can only be described as soaking in grease he tried a number of times to soak some off it however it continued to seep through .. the chips were soggy and the kebab snd chicken meat was not very pleasent either having finished his meal he was left with the taste and smell of grease lingering I understand chippy tea isn’t going to be the ‘cleanest’ of meals but it should not be swimming in pure grease like it was "

"Met friends here to eat who were travelling from the Lakes to London. We live locally. Ambience is great, lovely outlook over the course and buzzy atmosphere. However, we find the drinks overpriced and the 10% tip that is added without asking should be optional. After all you are getting the drinks yourself, it’s not table service. Two of us had a burger which was very good, although the fries were lukewarm. The other two had the steak and ale pie which was really poor, pale pastry, tasteless mash and thin watery gravy. It was v disappointing and we were embarrassed as we had invited our friends to this venue. We love the Belfry, as we are golfers it’s iconic, but this was a disappointment sadly."

"Lovely Sunday Lunch here and so much food for the money! Had the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding which was really tasty but I could only manage half of it despite trying my best to finish! We sat inside which was comfortable and had music playing with sports on the TV (muted) as we were keeping out of the sun, outside seating was busy though and there was even a visitor with a horse there when we got in. Good selection of drinks and friendly staff. Service was quick and toilets were clean. Would be happy to go back."

Very rude and then walked out with a bottle of wine, refusing to pay for it. Phil the duty manager was professional the...whole time. He is a credit to Mitchell's and Butlers. We visit The White Horse in Curdworth regularly and cannot fault the food or the staff"

"The small restaurant exudes charm and personality. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the comforting aroma of freshly cooked food, setting the stage for a great dining experience. I went with some friends for a casual meal and drinks. I decided to try the Sicilian kebab, which featured perfectly cooked chicken seasoned with classic Italian herbs. It was served on a bed of salad with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and lettuce on flatbread. The dish came with a delicious mayonnaise-based dip and incredibly tasty double-fried chips. I also had a bite of my friend's halloumi kebab, which was outstanding - the cheese was not as salty as supermarket versions, indicating its authenticity. For dessert, I indulged in the cheesecake, which was a very light and fluffy cheesecake with a creamy topping. The staff were professional, attentive, and always had a smile on their faces. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning."

"Ate a breakfast with my family as we were travelling by this place. I looked at my app and it said a load of points would be expiring very soon. So I tried to order something and the app was very slow. I asked for help and a nice lady cleaning the tables said a girl behind the counter would help me. The app sent a code and the girl scanned it, it linked to the till but said waiting for connection. I explained I would loose a lot of points if I didn't use it and it was clearly on there. She saw what was ordered and that it was to that store, however Instead of trying to help me the girl shrugged her shoulders as if to say oh well! What happened to kind customer service. Rather than try to sort it she was happy that I walk away dissatisfied! What's the point of having points if the staff won't help you to use them. Not great!! Won't go there again. Unhelpful staff..."

"My family and I visited this restaurant and were disappointed with our experience. Despite the quiet atmosphere, we waited an incredibly long time to be served. We ordered a Sunday roast, opting for the large portion size. However, when our meal arrived, we were shocked to find only 1 carrot, 1 piece of broccoli, and 2 thin slices of beef. When we questioned the portion sizes, we were met with rude and defensive responses from the staff. Feeling mistreated, we decided to leave without finishing our meal. This was by far the worst service I have ever received."

"We book 2 rooms on a friday night for 1night. a double room and a room with king sized bed and a single bed. The Double room was small with shower, dated but very clean. Had towels tiny t.v small table and 2 chairs ok for one night. It said had a balcony which turned out to be a small door/window which went onto a tiny flat roof. No use at all. The family room had king sized bed with single bed. Advertise with towels and soundproofing. The room it's self was huge, again dated but very clean. There was only one hand towel and a bath math in the bathroom and one plastic beaker in the bathroom. (The double room had lots of towels and 2 plastic beakers in bathroom). Had a table and 2 chairs. My daughter went to sit on a chair in the room and the legs started to go backwards. Which I reported to the cleaner in the morning and was told she had reported it before! We ate at the restaurant and had a lovely meal. Friendly staff. OUR PROBLEMS BEGAIN WHEN WE WENT TO OUR ROOM TO SLEEP. We went to ours rooms around 8pm. Well extremely loud music from the bar below started. In room 6 the floor was vibrating you couldn't here the tv. Room 3 was also extremely loud couldn't hear the tv. The music continued till 11pm. Then we had singing and loud chatter till 12.05am. So we were kept awake all evening. Rooms were Advertised as sound proofing. Complete joke. So much for a relaxing evening! At no point were we told loud music would be blaring all evening. If we had known we wouldn't have stayed there. Very disappointing."

"I would like to say after I and my wife visited a friend in coleshill, we were told about a pub called red lion on the high street, so we decided to give it a try after the use of the pub a few years back. wow we used this pub about 10 years ago with our parents who used to live in coleshill, we were pleasantly surprised that we stayed safe and for a pizza went a burger, eating was amazing and the whole mood of the pub was so refreshing to see from the friendly staff and the friendly owners, it was nice to be treated with so much respect. I would like to say that in any case we will be done very soon to the new owners."

"We recently moved to Austrey and are fortunate to have this charming thatched pub within walking distance. From our first visit, Sam and landlord Gareth made us feel very welcome. The selection of beers, gins, and wines is excellent, and the atmosphere is traditional, relaxing, and cozy. This dog-friendly pub allows us to bring our furry friend along. We have been enjoying the menu, with perfectly cooked steaks, delicious Sunday roasts, juicy burgers, and great vegetarian options. We have brought friends and family here for dinner, and they all agree that it is a fantastic pub. We highly recommend a visit to this gem of a place, whether you are a local or just passing through. We look forward to many more visits in the future."

"During our stay at Lea Marston Hotel, we arrived quite late and found that the kitchen was closed and no food was available. The Pavilion Restaurant was also closing, but they kindly agreed to stay open and prepare a takeaway meal for us. We were incredibly pleased with the warm welcome and excellent customer service we received. The food was delicious. We want to extend our gratitude to all the staff at the Pavilion and highly recommend anyone in the area to visit them. You won't be disappointed. "I visited the Pavillion on Thursday evening along with 12 work colleagues. I initially booked with Abdul (a very likeable character) who said that he and the other staff would look after us and make the evening special and he certainly did, even saying that if we got stuck with transport from the nearby hotel he would try and help. We had had somewhat of a disappointing conference day at the Lea Marston hotel nearby and the food quality during the day had been disappointing so we were glad that we made the decision to eat out. Rather than choosing individual starters we decided to go with Abdul’s recommendation of a taster plate with an assortment of starters. This couldn’t have been easy as we had about five different allergies between our party but they were very patient The food was delicious and the service were excellent, the staff were continually checking if everything was ok and seeing if we needed any drink top ups whilst keeping the mood up with Abdul’s banter. Everyone really enjoyed the evening and we could not fault the Pavillion. They really went out of their way to make you feel welcome including the owner who I met later that evening too. I would recommend trying this little gem, you won’t be disappointed!"

"Me and my partner were too Ill to go out New Year's Eve so thought we'd treat ourselves to a nice meal out to make up for it and what a treat it was!! The food was simply amazing and the service faultless! We were greeted with a lovely smile by a young lady who showed us to our table (unfortunately i don't remember her name) and told a gentleman called Aaron would be our waiter for the evening but asked in the meantime if she could get us any drinks. The drinks came promptly and the sauvignon blanc one of the best I've tasted. The menu was plentiful and something to suit all tastes. Me and my partner both went for the tomato and cheddar tart to start and I went for the blade of beef for main and my partner the lamb rump, I cannot even explain how delicious it was! It's been a very long time since we've both enjoyed a meal so much! After the meal we were both stuffed but couldn't pass up the opportunity to try one of the lovely desserts, we both went for the sticky toffee pudding and again were not disappointed! Throughout the whole evening Aaron was attentive and made sure our glasses were full. Our bill came to just under £80 which for what we had was exceptional value and will definitely be returning again! Thanks again for a wonderful evening!"

"We arranged an afternoon tea in Kiplings for my mom and aunt, it was all very nice, presented very well and all tasty and fresh. I would have preferred more choice of sandwiches with ham or chicken (only had one of each between two), quite a few different cheese sandwiches, and there was tuna and prawn for the fish choice. The cakes were lovely, quite artisan but the best bit was the scone. Light and fluffy inside and a nice crunch on the outside. Perfect! Service was prompt and friendly, and you can have limitless pots of tea all included in the price. The tea was also nice. Good quality cream and jam, too. I would recommend Kiplings for afternoon tea and we will return."

"The location of the restaurant was beautiful, both inside and out. Our seating area was lovely and we were warmly welcomed, being the only men enjoying afternoon tea. The two staff members who took care of us were fantastic, they were attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The tea and food were delicious, but it was the atmosphere and the staff that truly made our experience feel special. We felt like royalty and will definitely be returning soon."
