"during a visit in the nearby villa medicea (our second time in decades) we had lunch in this restaurant. to the happiness we had booked in the early morning by phone because the restaurant was full (it was Sunday): some people who had no reservations were sent out...outward, as far as we could see, the customers seemed to all locals: obviously the rest of this restaurant is in the oppositely solid. we have opted for a simple appetizer of croutons with carabaccia this is a special Tuscan appetizer on the basis of tweebeln, quite elaborate, which has allegedly been imported into paris by caterina de medici woman by henry ii king of france, so give the suppe d’oignons anyway, our carabaccia was excellent. as a main dish, we both chose ourselves with grilled polnta. the flesh was raised. we found the dessert menu quite limited. the chocolate cake we both chose, however, was again excellent. bill of euro for two people, more than enough for the quality of food (the bill also included a quarter of house wine and a bottle of mineral water). overall the cuisine of this restaurant seemed great in its simpleness. we therefore strongly recommend it for those who visit poggio a caiano."
