"We were told about this wooden-oven pizza place few years ago. We gave it a try then, I remember having to send the pizza back for the first time in my life (over 50). Whoever was baking pizza that day believed that “bamming” oregano on top of fresh mozzarella would gain him an Italian passport. Wrong. Just Disgusting. What a waste of a wooden-oven. Well, we had to re-visit it few days ago not by choice, but a group invitation. I am happy for the place, they have expanded and renovated. I am happy for myself, I didn’t have to pay for it and never will. This time the pizza was served with splashes of “unnamable” strange gooey greenish sauce. Something garlicky and disgusting, couldn’t get it off, I had to cut around it. The other pizza must have had an entire onion sliced on it, supposedly that makes it vegetarian. How ignorant. Well, maybe they don’t know how to make pizza, give them a chance with a schnitzel, what can go wrong? My daughter gave it a chance, frosted, packaged, defrosted and deep fried. The place was packed, I am happy for them. They don’t need my money and they won’t get it.An honorable mention to the waitress. No one has yet to explain to her that she does not work in an office with bureaucratic rules and regulations. Supposedly, the reason pizza and schnitzel were not served together, (schnitzel after 20 minutes), was because other tables had come first. Well, my dear waitress, when you work in the restaurant business, you work for your tips. You gain favor with kitchen staff, they take care of you, so that you can take care of your tables and make tips. I hope the other tables treated you well, we spent the waiter-dedicated 20% somewhere else. Good luck for the future."

"We had a craving for Indian food on a cold, wet, Thursday evening so we decided to give Maharaja a try based on the positive reviews. Looking through the dimly lit restaurant windows directly off the well travelled Ramstein walking platz, the place seemed completely empty. Against our better judgment, we dismissed our "Spidey" senses on account of the poor weather and decided to give it a shot. Not only should we have listened to our intuition, we were ripped off on the final bill. Our waiter, who claimed to be a son of the proprietors seemed not to want to be there. The only other person in the restaurant was someone in the kitchen...the cook, we hoped. As the only guests, one would think to receive excellent service...hardly. Our waiter was more concerned w/ his smartphone than taking care of his only customers. A simple spritz seemed a chore and half the wines listed on the menu were not available. We ordered a paneer appetizer and two common main dishes w/ chicken. The dishes were average; not bad for an Indian restaurant basically in the middle of nowhere. However, the food was not the main reason to ever return. When we asked for the bill, the waiter approached the table w/o a written bill and unabashedly announced what we owed...Knowing what we had ordered, I was slightly taken aback at the price and quickly calculated what we had ordered, 40+ Euro less than quoted. Not wanting to make a scene (in retrospect, who cares, we were the only customers...LOL), I made the conscious decision to just pay thinking this poor chap needed the cash more than I and I justified it as he needed to cover the evenings operating costs...at my expense! So, I paid the bill vowing to myself to never to return and ensuring not one of my circle ever frequent this poor excuse of a restaurant. We should have listened to our intuition."
