"(Meeting, 2 persons, €25,80 It was time we thought to visit Portofino again because the last visit over two years. At this time it was the first visit to Kassel after an extremely disturbed visit to the restaurant, which led us to publish our first restaurant review on the internet! The subsequent visit to Portofino led to the second restaurant review of our lives and laid the foundation for a mostly positive but also interesting and exciting hobby. Unfortunately, today's visit at this time could not be linked to the positive experiences. Maybe it was just a bad day today, maybe it's the result of the last two years. We can't know. Portofina is just steps from Treysa Train Station. Arriving by car, you are able to park two hours free in a parking garage just a few meters away. A successful train of the city to attract customers to Treysa, because since the start of the construction of a new shopping center in the middle of Treysa, the parking lot is the highest shortage. We were kindly received by a bright, quiet, young man in service and led into the adjoining room, which is defined by a wooden wall with open windows from the inside with counter. The clear-sighted envelopes and leaves contained therein were also exposed to a significantly longer use. New menus would look more appetizing. I also know that at that time the onion soup was out, and I had to choose an alternative. A new attempt today. Since my wife had chosen a meat dish as main dish Schnitzel Wiener Kunst, I looked at a delicious sounding pizza. The choice fell on Pizza Capricciosa, which contained most of my favorite pads, and I had refined you with extra garlic for 70 cents. Shortly later I got the spoon for the soup and don't trust my ears again. But we both heard this is so good with the cutlery or would they like to have sticks? I was so blurred that I only agreed and said everything was fine. But slowly I felt a little bit taken on my arm and wanted to offer the joker as little as possible in the further course. In me, an association with Harold began to manifest himself from the film Harold and Maude. These pals, this calm, slow voice, that look. Of course, the young man had recently seen this movie and tried to follow Harold. To make it short, it followed my soup, which was overlaid with deliberately shaking hands. In the meantime, the film was changed with an almost fall over an imaginary ice bear head a la dinner for one until my pizza was brought to the table with the words a flying pizza. Everything very strange and not necessarily lead to being received as a guest. Or maybe the hidden camera was on the way, and we just didn't react how you wanted? You'll hear it or not. To the dishes: My onion soup was okay. All fresh, not an iceberg salad, but a green salad, but a little sweet prepared overall. Moreover, it was badly washed because not only the first bite, but also the others were accompanied by tooth cracks. I can't. I wash our sweets from tradition three times (and use the water to pour flowers. My pizza looked good and tasted... okay. Overall relatively taste-neutral. I was glad about the extra garlic. The Schnitzel Wiener Kunst, when I saw her, I thought immediately, oh wei, friteuse and much too long inside. I had the feeling that my wife tasted her. But there was much too dry lemon, for example there was no one. I had to order them first in the kitchen because the service had disappeared to a chat. It was a little better with lemon. I just tried one corner, but for me it looked like finished baked press meat from the freezer. But maybe I'm wrong with someone. It's hard to say purely subjective. Cleanliness I think the menus play there and a visit to the sanitary facilities is also safe. A band of my wife in front of the main court of short laundry there was no toilet paper. All in all, quite negligent, as I find. Conclusion: Too bad, because we had promised much more. All right, until it came to this visit, it took over two years, and now (more than a hundred restaurant visits later we know where we have to go near to get home happy. Even if not with satisfaction guarantee! But that can always happen. That's life. Next visit: not before 2019. "A lunch with a person plus take-away for another person for 22,30 Euro I'm sorry, because this should be a somewhat shorter evaluation, but.... Sometimes you forget the food as yesterday before loud work. This shouldn't happen to me again today, and so I took a specially forced and planned break and looked for a lunch in not yet known gastronomy in Schwalmstadt. I've never noticed the China Garden before, although it's often over. So today the attempt to eat there for lunch. First I thought it was closed because from the side of the street it didn't look very welcoming and also not open. Paper and carton waste in a stairway and old furniture former furnishings? under a blue plan, I had the impression that this is a closed house. But once I walked around the building, I suddenly saw the real entrance, own parking for customers and menu in the curtain. Oh, so open. After opening the door, I was greeted by a pleasing well that made me feel comfortable. A view around showed a large hall with little possibilities to sit protected in a corner. I was apparently the first guest, and a young lady came to me to behave and left me free choice at the seat. A few minutes after my arrival, the next three guests also appeared, and suddenly the Chinese music from the boxes, which had already been expected before, was heard. It may not be here, but I have never heard such music. Again and again, something new is good because change is always good. Recently only the Chinese, where White Roses from Athens sounded through the boxes in a China version. And today Chinese sounds like what do I say? electronic organ played similar department store music somehow haunted. But good, that's good. I don't know. Chinese ambience was not produced by me. So, quickly because only guest supplied with menu I could order quickly. This time a la carte, because interesting things were found in the map. For example, the Thai Tom Kha Gai soup, which I had already been able to enjoy in three other restaurants before, has a certain possibility to compare. So she was ordered and came to my table relatively quickly. The vegetables were positive, because broccoli and cauliflower roasts were fresh and bite-resistant, just like the mushroom insert. The chicken meat insert was cooked and also bite-resistant. The soup itself was not great to distinguish from water. Apparently coconut milk tastes like water I'm not an expert. In this respect, it was hot-formed and not or little prepared except hot coconut milk. Spicy, as described in some recipes, it was not now. So, soup inserts were ok, the soup in itself was only coco-sweet and very sharp, among others, through a slice of Pepperocini. I don't want to know how this soup tastes sharp in the version. As the main course I chose fried noodles special, i.e. with crabs, beef, pigs and chicken meat. This also came relatively quickly after the soup. Tastefully ok, but somehow a little disappointing. Very little meat of not necessarily delicate quality, not really hot, but rather lukewarm. I haven't used so much Sambal Oelek for a long time to get really taste in a food. Nevertheless, I ordered Bami Goreng to take away again, because my wife should try. In the end, the Bami Goreng didn't look much different from my noodles special. The menu contains some surprises. Allergic, as first encountered on our Usedom holiday, I respond to .... we charge an extra charge of 2 euros if you want pasta or fries instead of rice. OK, if it's a big difference, okay, but I want to doubt it. It just upsets me. Also, the dishes are not excellent, which ingredients/taste enhancers are used, but they are generally said. Our dishes are prepared with flavor enhancers on request even without . But complete contrast, for example, to the curry house in Marburg there, the card says explicitly Without: preservatives, binders and flavor enhancers! About 100 dishes, eight menus and 18 discounted lunch menus. We are close to the strange end of this lunch: I didn't make my portion completely, so I asked if I could pack the rest. It was chased, but what happened, I haven't experienced yet. The Lord came to my table with one of the ever-known Styrofoam containers, placed it on the menu, took the plate with my rest and poured the whole into the polystyrene container with the aid of a fork. That's different. I felt like, take this and get out. As a really welcome guest, I didn't feel a single minute here, and then this conclusion. Has anyone ever seen this before? Is that perhaps the correct procedure? At home, I remembered, maybe he's already had bad experience with other customers who complained that not what was really on the plate. I saw what I was packing. Or, as I said, this procedure is completely natural and has never happened to me. I'm curious about other experiences. Conclusion: Once again I can talk and try something new. However, I cannot say a recommendation. But as it always is: best to try out yourself. Meal!
