"We have been going to this pub for many years and are now thrilled to see that it is now back to its best. The staff and owners are friendly and helpful, the pub itself is cosy, comfortable and clean. Loads of different seating areas, including a lovely patio area to the side,a joy in the Summeer and if you have pets great for a quick stop for a bite to eat. Also has easy acccess for wheelchairs and they are incredibly accomodating with seating for wheelchairs. The joy of this pub is the food, plenty of choice from quick bites to a fine dining experience. We have nearly tried them all, the fish is delicate, the pies are substantial and home made(you can tell . I had pigeon breast (I have had the operation now! and it was just superb. The pasta dishes are all good and they have Roast of the Day, Soup of the Day and Pie of the Day as well. Recently they have just started to do Afternoon teas which are great for an afternoon stop after a hard days shopping! I would say booking is adviseable if you want definite ating times or are a large group, but as a twosome we have always managed to get a table after a short wait. Loads of parking to the side. Just be careful when pulling out as some drivers seem to forget there is a speed limit !"
