"As we walked through the hallway, we admired the beautiful architecture and lovely paintings that adorned the walls, showcasing both the castle's history and its restoration. We were warmly welcomed by the courteous staff, who took care of our coats and seated us at our table in the restaurant. I adored the cozy atmosphere, complete with dark wood accents and impressive chandeliers that we couldn’t stop admiring. Our table had a romantic view through a beautiful window, and the wine list was excellent.
For our main course, we both opted for the fillet steak, and I can honestly say it was the best locally sourced fillet steak we’ve ever had. It melted in our mouths, and it was a generous portion, bursting with flavor!
For dessert, we couldn’t resist trying the ice cream, which was incredibly tasty with a variety of flavors to choose from, including rich chocolate and white chocolate cheesecake. I could go on about how wonderful everything was, but I’ll just say that it was a testament to the amazing chef and the entire kitchen staff.
After our meal, a friendly staff member came to chat with us, ensuring everything was satisfactory and expressing interest in whether we were locals, sharing stories about the restaurant’s history. It felt personal and welcoming.
We also explored the lounges, which featured a separate bar area and another relaxing space, currently undergoing some restoration work. The beautiful details on the walls hinted at what was to come.
After a gentle stroll around the grounds and taking one last look at the surroundings, it was time to return to our life on the farm. We left with magical memories and it was a perfect birthday surprise for my partner. We can’t wait to return soon. My birthday is next month, and I’ve promised to bring some beautiful paintings with us!
