"I know Asian cuisine. I've experienced it in the long and wide. Of course, I can't boast that I'm an expert on the strictly Indonesian one, but the surrounding ones are. I love the explosion of precise flavors and unmistakable scents that distinguish that specific area of the world, immense, but yet so contaminated to generate similarities, in every fold and in every difference. cynas, from the extreme north to the extreme south, to pass to the central regions; chorea, one and the other; jappone, which is not at all sushi that is propinated to us for fashion and then the fabulous South East Asian, Thai, laos, Cambodia, to end in Malaysia. in my humble opinion, despite the miles traveled, in all these kitchens, although so different, there is always a common denominator. recognize the first taste (at the first smell, at the first glance) that a dish comes from there, and not from any other part of the world. after this premise, I approdo a cinta rasa, which is a small place in the heart of torino, harvested, intimate and graceful. right music and the right lights, that cheer the evening. the atmosphere is perfect. the menu offers dishes that postpone, starting from the names, to magical places of undeniable charm ... expectations are great! but, already from the scents that spread from the kitchen, something does not convince a hundred percent. I'm not talking about fried smell, for God's sake! That, fortunately, does not come, as here it is all steamed. from this point of view: perfect! but as does not reach the fried, so there are no scents of coriander, lemongrass, combava, chili and various spices that should announce the true deep Asian cuisine, then disappear in the dish, won by flavors so different from ours, maybe at times ostic, but ecstatic, new magic in the nose and on the palate. That's not the case here. that distant world is not announced and does not follow in the dish. good food, very good, from meat to fish to vegetables to soups, with excellent raw materials, but the plot of the film takes place in torino, all torino, only torino, and forget the story that would like to tell."
