"The Bar is a 700 metre (Corsican metres that is) walk through the village from the hotel where we were staying. Up hill there ....down hill on the way back! The owner was proud of just how locally sourced much of the food on the...menu is. We shared plates of local meat and cheese for our starter. For my main I went for the local lamb that came from a flock that grazed on the maquis scrub above the restaurant. It was delicious. The second night I chose the wild boar. The food was solid, fit for the locale. The house wines were just as good. The Pietra blond is a local beer ...... found every where on Corse. Give it a go. If you are staying in Vercano this restaurant needs to be tried."
