"As a regular to the dizzying heights and dazzling lights of Saturday nights on King Street, I drunkardly noticed this restaurant whilst eyeing up what looked to be a perfectly good half-eaten kebab on the floor next to the taxi queue. ‘That looks like a nice restaurant, I’ll have to try it sometime’ I thought, trying desperately to distract myself and resist the Donna meat treat. Fortunately despite my alcohol-fuelled appetite I decided against the enticing freebie on the roadside and went home to bed. Even more fortunate was remembering the restaurant, allowing me to take my parents as a treat the following evening. Firstly, the staff were all lovely. The gent who showed us to our table was all smiles, whilst the waitress was very attentive. The menu was huge and we were spoiled for choice. It was genuinely overwhelming how much choice you got. I had the ribs for starter and they were awesome. Genuinely the hottest food I’ve ever been served (temperature, not spice and the meat fell off the bone. My mum and dad got one of those daft cold meat starters (such a waste, who wants cold food?! but they thoroughly enjoyed it. Italian is usually my least favourite cuisine but my main course was really tasty. I had tagliatelle with ham and mushroom and it was lovely (and very filling as there was a lot there . We also had garlic bread with goats cheese (or feta, can’t 100% recall . My mum had a ‘starter’ of muscles for her main and she had more than enough. The thing that frustrated me was how quiet the restaurant was. In Wigan we are synonymous with not supporting new restaurants. We stick with our ‘favourites’ like Franco’s and Papa Luigi’s because they’re what we know. Let’s be honest, Franco’s is pretty naff, and whilst I really like the staff at Luigi’s, the food at this place was bigger and better. Give it a try and see what you think. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the bar downstairs had the potential to be nice (if people were actually in there . My only slight criticism was the lack of easy parking nearby and the fact it had pop music on as a background playlist (not exactly the ambience I was expecting . My Mrs on the other hand likes all that stuff so maybe I’m just turning into an old fart. Anyway, (really good food, nice people, good value, get a table booked and stop going to KFC on Robin Park."

"This isn 't Leigh On Sea, Its Leigh Lancashire. I 'm usually one to sing their praises, but not today. Going downhill, as I am a bigger bloke, i.e.: obese, pleasantly plump etc whatever you prefer to make you feel better about being overweight, when I can afford it, treat myself to the Unlimited breakfast, which as I type, is still listed on their respective websites etc. Upon arrival, the usual staff weren 't there, but one lady was especially unhappy looking, not the usual greeting I 'd been known to expect, seemed extremely disinterested, no doubt demoralised by the changes at Harvester. So after the 'whatever ' attitude, I went to my usual preferred table, and a lady with glasses waited on, and was rather helpful. She explained that the Unlimited breakfast was a thing of the past, and claimed it was because it took too long for the kitchen staff to make, and everything now was an added cost extra... We all know its a cost cutting exercise and the lady freely admitted that not many people we happy about it, and footfall for breakfast had decreased. I ordered the nearest equivalent, a pre-set menu breakfast, cheekily at the same price as the unlimited and it took longer than it used to take for the Unlimited. So that shows you the reality of what is occurring. also the clientele, not ever being the best, seems to have slipped too, Regrettably i wont be reattending after all these years, as the Hungry horse on the same retail park still do unlimited breakfasts cheaper too. Penny wise, pound foolish springs to mind with the Harvester management."

"I 've only ever left two trip advisor reviews including this one, because usually I 'm not too fussed about service or food quality as long as it 's somewhat decent. My latest trip to this Pizza Hut was so subpar I actually bothered to open up trip advisor to vent. I came with my girlfriend for a quick meal after work. Everything was fine up until our orders were taken. First of all, I understand that Pizza Hut does not offer half and half pizzas which is perfectly okay, what my girlfriend asked for however, was for the toppings on her pizza only be applied to half the pizza so that if she didn 't like it, she would still have a plain Margherita half that she could eat. The waitress told us they couldn 't do that though. After that, there was a runaway child messing around with the drinks machine and salad bar who neither the grandparents or staff seemed particularly bothered about, but the kid put me off a second visit to the salad bar. Then our starters came, her cheese bites were okay but the garlic bread 'with cheese ' looked like they took enough cheese for one slice, and spread it across all four of them. When the mains arrived, my girlfriend ate two slices before stopping because, as predicted, she didn 't like the toppings, however, the peppers on top were burned and the cheese was almost nonexistent, much like with my garlic bread. Now we didn 't think it was worth complaining since we were only paying for one starter and main anyway thanks to the Meerkat Insurance offer, so complaining would just be for the sake of it, so we didn 't mention it while we were there. After we had finished that however, we waited (and I checked) 30 minutes for our plates to be cleared and to be presented with the bill, we left ASAP after that. All in all this has been my second bad experience at this Pizza Hut and I will not return for a third."
