"the king wah is a Chinese restaurant located just 5 minutes from the carbahn m53 in the heart of bromborough. it is located near the retail park bromborough croft, where there is a cinema and various outlet shops and a wonderful little village on the street from the restaurant, which is a semi-urban village located 5 minutes away, has local shops and a super market. the village hotel is also not far from here. while they are their foot in the restaurant, they are decorated by ancient traditional Chinese red and gold decorations and laternen lights, which are decorated over every table. it is simply clean and if you like to go to traditional Chinese restaurants, then this is the place to be. there are many parking spaces outside and it is set opposite a beautiful park for a beautiful evening walk in summer. each table has full flavor, the table cloths are clean and washed they can also see the kitchen from the main restaurant and they have a 5 star hygiene assessment. we could even see how the chef works in the kitchen. the menu offers a large selection of tasty and mouthwatering appetizers followed main courses and desserts, it offers to be fair for all age groups, youthful and adult. we had a set banquet c for 2 and cost £17 each person each dish was freshly cooked and the taste was delightful. there was no sign that evil MSG fabric and any really strong coloring that always leaves one after the taste in my mouth was also not visible. we had sesame prawn toast, jump roll, spare rib, chicken sweetcorn soup and it was followed by crispy duck and pfancake – this is only for beginners! we then got a 15-minute break, which was nice and we were not made to feel hurried. they replaced our serviettes and the draught camp was also not watered – they had only carlsberg to draught, but they had also filled beer tsingtao and tiger – they sold spirituosen and various softdrinks. our main dishes were then brought out and we had a massive bowl of rice, which could have served easily four adult and then we had sweet n sour chicken. sizzling steak with garlic jugs and finally chicken with ginger jump onion – only looking at the photos – can not be better than being fair for the price – we were filled into the braut and the braut was even filled. we felt that all the dishes used had good quality in them. in contrast to this, the service is of very high quality. the waitresses were full of warmth and thought to us as guests. they were always ready for our desires, but they were not floating what we reject, and to it out, because of the brilliant music they have played, and the delicious food as well as service we recommend them to go to the king wah when they meet for business or come together with friends or family and therefore we give him a 5-star rating."

"Booked a table a week in advance as this was a special meal for my husband 's 74th birthday. I specified where we would like to be seated and explained that it was a special 'do '. We have eaten here twice during lockdown and it was excellent. We always have wine beer followed by 2 prawn cocktails,2 seabass,2 desserts followed by 2 coffees. So good that I passed word around to family and friends. The day before we got a message so that we could confirm everything and again I explained that it was a special meal and where we would like to be seated. We excitedly walked up the steps and had no idea what we were supposed to do hung around a bit and no one came up to us. I walked over to a waitress who was by the computer and I said that we had a table booked. She said 'go to the bar they will see to you '. Went to the bar and joined a bit of a queue (surely there should be someone available to meet and greet customers as they arrive??? Others gave their name and were taken presumably to their booked table. I gave our name and he checked his list he asked for our name again then said 'just a minute ' and he went off somewhere. He came back and said follow me and took us to the left of the bar to a place where we weren 't expecting. He cleared a table that was set for 6 people and we sat down.We were already feeling uncomfortable this room was definitely NOT where we wanted to be it had no atmosphere whatsoever. We ordered drinks. then waitress came and we ordered our usual 2 P Cs and 2 seabass so far OK. then she came back and said 'oh I forgot we have no seabass '. OMG I didn 't know what to do I felt like let 's get out of here but at the same time I thought that we would not get in any other decent restaurant (1st night of no restrictions etc) Absolutely nothing else on the menu appealed to us but in the end my husband went for the fish cakes with salad I really didn 't fancy anything so I asked if I could have the salmon pasta starter dish as a main course. portion of chunky chips. My husband has never in his life said that a meal was 'awful and tasteless ' He really is very easily pleased. his fish cakes with small bit of salad he said he could do better himself and he has never cooked anything in his life! Mine was actually 2 pieces of pasta (tortellini) filled with a horrible tasteless filling supposed to be salmon with a very thin watery tasteless sauce. Things were going from bad to worse. We didn 't bother with dessert or coffee as nothing could make this special night better.I felt so sorry for my husband and I have promised to take him somewhere else this weekend to make up for this disaster of an evening at the Red Fox.This was not cheap so I really don 't know what has happened to the normally very good Red Fox restaurant. Has it changed hands? Has the head chef moved on? Something definitely not right.I left a similar review on the Red Fox website but they have chosen to not bother getting back to me that says it all as far as I am concerned. I had promised to bring my daughter here for a 'special ' meal after she has finished her cancer treatments (radio and chemotherapy) butI can not risk this happening again . I normally do take photos of the meals that we have had here these meals were so poor that I didn 't take any photos. My husband even said that we would have had a better meal in Macdonalds!! We have never been there but I 'm sure he is right."
