"My recent visit to Edi's Pizzeria in downtown Zurich was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly set the tone for the entire experience. First and foremost, I must commend the staff for their exceptional service. Every member of the team was not only friendly but also incredibly attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfection. From offering recommendations to promptly refilling drinks, their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. As a vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for restaurants that offer delicious meat-free options, and Edi's Pizzeria exceeded my expectations. Their Veggie pizza was an absolute masterpiece, boasting a flavorful combination of fresh vegetables and savory toppings atop a perfectly crisp crust. Each bite was a culinary delight, bursting with robust flavors that left me craving more. Beyond the food and service, the ambiance of Edi's Pizzeria further elevated my dining experience. "This is probably my second-favorite restaurant in the immediate Altstetten area, coming in right after the La Taqueria. Food is always good and the value-for-money is also excellent considering Zurich prices). I live nearby, so I 've probably been here 15-20 times in the past year and a half since they opened, and every time am happy with the food and service. The pizzas are always great and with interesting variety including some with high quality special ingredients you don 't see elsewhere e.g. the Turicum pizza with mascarpone and boletus mushrooms is fantastic), all at very reasonable prices for Zurich ±18-25 chf, slightly cheaper if takeaway). The pastas also use freshly made noodles, which is pretty obvious from the taste, and the basics like carbonara are always delicious. There 's also a pretty wide selection of generic European cuisine, like steaks and cordon bleu, all of which is good but we tend to always get the specialties of pasta or pizza. Their specialty pizzas here are my favorite in Zurich although it 's not my favorite pizzeria in my entire life), and in general I find the food better than the big Italian chain restaurants like Santa Lucia and it 's miles better than the generic pizza and kebab restaurants that you find all over the place. I live close enough that it 's an easy visit for me every few weeks, but even if I moved to the other side of Zurich I 'm sure I would come back every now and then. The outside patio is great in summer, especially now that the construction at Farbhof is FINALLY finished after nearly 3 years. Well, there 's still construction, but now at least it 's 30 meters away across the intersection instead of directly in front of the restaurant, so it shouldn 't make it unbearably loud to sit outside this summer."

"If you boast about having a hundred different beers in your range, and if you then want to order a non alcoholic beer from Switzerland and the only non alcoholic beer that is imported by truck is not really fine, then, yes, there is something wrong with that Not an assortment. In principle, I don't want to drink foreign beer in Switzerland that would put additional strain on the environment by traveling a long distance. In 2024, with climate change and the warmest January ever, people drink German beer in Germany, French beer in France and Swiss beer in Switzerland. The concept of importing beers from all over the world in a way that pollutes CO2 is something from the 20th century. Sorry. The fact that the service at the bar is actually very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is super relaxed doesn't help with the star rating. Update February 25, 2024 try the alcohol free Eichhof, it's worlds better than the imported puddle you have in your range. In Switzerland there are around 1300 different breweries with countless different beers on offer. For this reason, it would not be necessary to only offer one beer from abroad and you could still offer over 100 different beers if you took climate change seriously, as you write. And the argument that you wouldn't import the beers into Switzerland yourself by truck is a very weak one. Sorry, then at least be honest and write: Business is more important to us than climate protection and we earn more from, for example, Belgian beer (brewed with the worst water in all of Europe) than from a beer from a microbrewery in Switzerland."
