"When we first ate here, it had been open about a month and had heard from a few people how good the service was so decided to try it out. Our first visit we were most impressed by the greeting we had and the choice offered menu wise. Lovely setting on a street ideal for people watching, close to the beach and lovely view over Calpe and the mountains. The menu has a good range. Service is really good, very friendly without being over the top. Our first choice of meal was good, huge portions! Had a cesar salad as starter between 2.....just as well as it was massive and very tasty. main dishes; Chicken with mushroom sauce was delicious and entrecote steak again lovely. Both came with a lovely selection of vegetables and baked potatoes. Second visit we had the same welcome and not too long a wait till we had our meal which again was pleasant and reasonable price. Our third visit we decided would be our last which is a pity. The service was still o.k. but seemed to being looked on as regulars who didn 't need the same attention as at first visit! Our choice was 1 dish of BBQ spare ribs and asked for no vegetables, only a light salad.....the ribs arrived with full vegetables so asked again for a light salad and was given a huge plate of tuna salad that was big enough to feed 6 people. 2nd dish was a bit of a problem as I could not decide between avocado and salmon salad or spinach and blue salad salad; my mind was made up for me when I was told there was no avocado available so was given spinach, blue cheese and salmon salad. The BBQ spare ribs were tasteless and tough and the salad which finally arrived after 2 attempts to get it was lacking in seasoning and too huge a serving. My spinach blue chees and salmon salad was ice but far too big a portion which immediately put me off! Although there was no extra charge for the salad to go with the BBQ spare ribs it was still a bit of a farce trying to get it in the first place! The house wine is pleasant and good price, 'on the house ' liquors are not offered with coffee, but if asked for, are served. All in all a nice location with friendly hard working staff, just hope they don 't take returning customers for granted."

"A small, well-run family restaurant, where, frankly, it is a pleasure not only to eat but also to receive attention. Zero kilometer product, well cooked, with elaborations and presentations between the traditional and the avant-garde, make each dish to be enjoyed in its maximum splendor. We ordered the grilled menu for a full table, which today consisted of grilled hearts of hearts with truffled potatoes, anchovies and blue cheese, grilled clotxinas and smoked picanha with foie. As starters, for the main course we tried the grilled monkfish with a pistachio crust, matured beef chop and grilled Iberian black Canary pork chop. The main dishes were accompanied by excellent potatoes, some rich green peppers and a wonderful grilled aubergine from their garden that was a capital delight, so much so that we asked to repeat. Desserts to match the rest of the meal, with a coffee cappuccino, a kind of flan with an intense coffee flavor, some grilled dogs with white chocolate and horchata, a dracula in a glass reinterpreting the famous ice cream and a cheesecake gorgonzola that did not detract from its raw material. In short, a great experience that we have enjoyed for almost 3 hours (adding at the end some coffees and some handmade shots that were crazy) together with Omar, his mother and the rest of the team, who always treated us with great kindness, explaining everything in detail, suggesting where it was necessary and demonstrating at all times a knowledge of their product and preparations that they already wanted in many higher-level restaurants. We will repeat because we have left with a smile from ear to ear and very happy with the time we received at La Terreta."
