"Been here many times while living in Ely and always enjoyed my visits . They sell craft keg beer which I enjoy and I use to encourage other people to visit so they could grow the craft beer scene in Ely . Unfortunately I'm very honest and open person and I queried once why they stock to much lager on when they want to be recognised as a craft beer tap room . Well that was it the owner got rude sarcastic and scary on Facebook with me and deleted and blocked my honest open posts . So alas my memory's of this place are not so good , the staff are great and don't reflect my review . If you like English tea house serving high tea coffee cakes nitro coffee and beer your love this place. I've left Ely so maybe my opinion means nothing but I felt I needed to write this review to reflect a fair and open society. If people accept praise then they should be able to take the bad as well god I know I do."

Came here whilst the girls were shopping. Excellent choice of different beers and ciders served by friendly staff. Can recommend the fruit ciders and the rose wine produced just a few miles away.

A wonderful hidden gem between the Market and Forehill Car Park, lovely outdoor seating and many fine beers from the 3 local counties to sample. Lovely hot chocolate too, and cakes and more... go explore for yourself

A warm welcome and not chocolate! Choices abound for seating areas and food, but when it comes to real ales, or craft beers I believe they’re now labelled, this is heaven. Only popped in for a hot chocolate but came out with, well, a few beers! Ver carta

Mainly been here for the craft ales and whatnot, a good varied selection. There's also a café. Only stopped here the once for the latter, and it was very quiet. But all in all, one of the many and varied attractions to be enjoyed in good ol' Ely.

Very interesting place. A cafe and pub and good range of bottled beer. Not easy to find. Need to go down passageway near Johnson’s cleaners on forehill . Really enjoyable outside terrace. 8 or about tables inside. Choice of 4 beers on the tap. Good quality but certainly at “craft prices”!

This is a really good place to try,on a sunny day you can sit out in there garden and enjoy a choice of great drinks,Beer/Cidar and of course there lush Pink Gin The food is very good though some may say a-bit pricey but you get what you pay for,my Daughter and I go here on a regular basis and have always enjoyed it. I was attracted by the listing in the Good Beer Guide, but it was not obvious which of the beers were cask conditioned as they were all on fonts. I was told that my choice was, but it seemed rather cold and fizzy. I was interesting, but rather expensive. A quirky place with probably more seats outside than in, and with a vast selection of bottled beer. Worth a look, but not a traditional pub.

Four of us visited 3 at 3 on Saturday lunch time it was very busy and we had to wait a short while for a table. Bear in mind there is limited indoor seating and when the sun shines the court yard is very popular. This cafe specialises in an extremely large selection of local craft beers and to ideally accompany the tasting of these they offer a small selection of platters well presented on wooden boards. The service of beers and food was very prompt and the staff were very courteous and knowledgeable. A thoroughly enjoyable experience with friends definitely calls for a revisit to try some more beers.

"My friend kindly decided to take me another friend along to this her local pub for Xmas lunch on the 12th of December which we were all looking forward too, as we have eaten there before. Unfortunately on entering the pub it seemed quite cold as there was no open fire lite when we asked they told us they had run out of kindling, so we kept out coats on for sometime until we all warmed up. Then when we kindly asked for the menu unfortunately they had none of these as apparently they had ran out of ink for there printer so we then had to look at there written board on the wall, which had fish chips added to it. We were then told by the waitress they had no chips lol but you can have potatoes, unbelievable for a pub to run out of chips. When our meals arrived it was quite disappointing for a Christmas dinner the Yorkshire pud was completely flat, but you did get vegetables served separately which were quite a good variety even though there wasn’t lots. We then went onto order our deserts Once again to add disappointment they didn’t have any crème brûlée so the choice was just Xmas pud with brandy butter or ice cream. So one of my friends could only have ice cream as she’s gluten free who always fancies that on a cold day, me my other friend had the Xmas pud that was served in a pie dish which was not very appealing or professional looking it was served with custard not the brandy butter like the menu said. We did complain as my friends Xmas pud was also lukewarm they did kindly apologise warm it up. Because we complained they did take some of our bill. But I don’t think we will be visiting again anytime soon."
