Great place in a lovely canalside location. Met up with my siblings for lunch. Top notch.

Great place , super food , I ate the blue cheese hamburger and even if they buy their patties , it was juicy . Very friendly smiling staff , the location at the canal is idyllic for this typical countryside English pub.

Great place for a sunny day, delicious food and the service was incredible, really great friendly staff. We had food in the restaurant then found a table outside to sit and have a drink watching the boats go by. Lovely!

Lovely pub to drop into after or before a walk down the lock/canal. Great day out with family and friends. Food was well presented and hot, staff extremely helpful and efficient. Really friendly atmosphere and dogs welcomed. Definitely back again during the summer

This place is in a really beautiful spot, right by the canal. It's a great place to chill and watch the world go by. The food was a bit meh, though. My fish was overcooked, and there weren't many chips. But the staff were friendly and the service was good. I'd go back for drinks, but not for food.

We moored up on the canal and visited the Admiral Nelson initially for a drink but decided to stay for a meal having seen the menu. Being vegetarian it was good to see a variety of choices. The food was great, well presented, very tasty, good portion sizes and definitely value for money. Compliments to the chef. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s also dog friendly!

Just back from a Sunday lunch with friends and all 8 can say is what an improvement since last time we were there. The new owners have improved it enormously. We had the roast pork, roast beef and 'Nelson ' roast which is a bit of both. Portions were generous to put it mildly! Suffice to say I 'm not bothering with an evening meal. Food was well presented and delicious. The decor has also been redone and feels very homely and comfortable with nice touches in the decorations dotted about the place. For those who want a challenge they do an 80 oz (yes eighty ounce! steak which if you can finish the whole meal you get for free. Staff are friendly, efficient and courteous. Location is right next...
