"We have never eaten here before and we came because I work in Diss and many of my colleagues recommended it. We had a great meal and would come again! My grandad, who usually complains about something, didn't so that shows what a great time we had The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was cooked to order and we had had plenty on our plates. Sadly, I couldn't have dessert as I was full. For my main course, I had Chicken Parmigiana, which I haven't had since I went to Australia. It was how I remember it We will definitely be back and hopefully I will be able to fit in dessert!"

"we sat in the courtyard and it is a pleasant one. but it was not until we had set ourselves that we realized that it was only cash (so a quick trip to the atm on the street.) that eating when it had arrived was excellent. we were served very quickly and ordered just drinks as soon as they finally arrived, we ordered our main course, which needed some time to appear. there was a delay before we could order and receive our desserts. to the happiness we were not in a hurry, but the delays between the curses were too long and it is also not the cheapest of the venues."

"This place used to be my all time favourite but sadly after this last take out, im no longer going to be using it. Having ordered mushroom omelette and chips, I received scrambled eggs with mushrooms resembling and tasting like something the cat coughed up, Another favourite was the vegetable spring rolls- these were simply not the same, didnt taste fresh and crispy like normal. I wouldn't normally leave a bad review of somewhere I once loved so much but this has been the 3rd/4th time where it's not been up to standard. I wanted a Chinese take out last night and wouldn't normally think twice about where I was going-it would have been happy palace every time! I remembered my previous trips this year which forced me to try a new place-which to my pleasant surprise was great!! On a plus, staff are lovely at Happy Palace and so is the owner, hoping they will make necessary changes!"

"This restaurant is fabulous and is definitely the best in Diss. Our host, Lindsey, was friendly and welcoming. The menu was intriguing and the food lived up to expectations. The asparagus with ham hock and poached egg was outstanding, and the Hake main course was excellent. I regret not taking photos to include in this review. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be visiting again."
