"I booked this hotel as a weekend getaway for my partner and I on the basis that we have used Malmaison before in Aberdeen and it was great Sadly this stay was a disaster. I originally booked one suite for the Saturday night but wanted to extend the stay and also stop Friday night. For two weeks leading up to the stay I emailed the hotel, called the hotel and got no response so in frustration booked a second room for the Friday night independently When we arrived and I explained the situation the desk staff were just plain rude and unhelpful, there was no greeting, no small talk no experience whatsoever Sadly it only got worse. The Friday night was a smaller suite which was a nice room and well furnished but of course we had to check out of this after breakfast (which was okay). Holding the luggage for us for the day seemed to be a massive drama When we returned around and checked in to the larger suite again there was not even a smile from the staff as I paid over Once up in the room there was no robes, the towels were dirty, no hot water, no water by the bed etc When we checked out the next day and I complained they offered to refund breakfast and that was it. So in summary, the first room was the second the experience was worth a Trevel Lodge room. I will not be staying there again which is a shame as it is well located and the local bars and restaurants were great."

Nicw room, lovely food, nice staff but it took ages for food to arrive. Slow between courses also. If service could be speeded up, I'm sure rating would be stars

beautiful hotel, good breakfast, very helpful staff at the reception. buses to the city are not too far away, but while all road works happen, it is probably best to book the malmaison in the middle, instead of refining their time.

malmaison they were ever in the room was dusty that never heated that restaurant during booking it no one at the reception constantly no water in the rooms, no air cone etc. I expect much better for the bush that was like a lift that they would find in an old multi-storage park. Ver carta

absolutely the best place on leith to have a good drink and to eat some delicious, fresh and tasty. personal is very dedicated and make her visit in exceptional experience! Bar team can ever make a best martini! Eating is not only really good, but also the way they serve it is like a fine culinary experience! the rooms are beautiful and spacious

For dinner, we both ordered calamari which was tender and delicious. I had the half roast chicken for my main course while my husband had the steak, both of which were cooked to perfection. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, making sure all our requests were met. During breakfast, we both indulged in eggs benedict, my personal favorite. The poached eggs were perfectly done. I must also mention that my parents stayed for their anniversary on Monday, November 6th, and had an equally great experience at the restaurant. We have visited a few different Malmaison restaurants but the Leith one is by far my favorite.
