Try the Hacksteaks, they are the best, decent prices, friendly staff, great atmosphere, in downtown, cross the main station.

The wait staff was very, very patient and understanding. We reserved a table in the small garden until all of our party of 5 arrived. The German beers are fantastic.

We go here all the time for a massive, delicious schnitzel for very good prices. The wait staff are super friendly and fun, plus they have great beer and a beer garden out back.

pleasant outside area (and lots of space also inside.) helpful English speaking staff, faster service, good delicious eating with generous portions. all combined to make dinner pleasant. a little fucked, so a hauch from the beaten stretch.

Again and again, food is delicious, beer well tapped and the service is always friendly. The host Daniel is always nice and friendly. It's nice that there's such a store in such a central location. These prices are very fair and reasonable! In the selection of beers there is something for every taste and the apple choir with natural juice is very delicious.

I had read much about Alexander and purposefully attending on Monday for Schnitzel night a full range of Schnitzels at €7,95. I was disappointed with the Zigeuner Schnitzel the sauce was more bottled than home made. The range of draught beers was wider...than usual including Gilde, Becks, and Herenhäuser and prices are not as high as elsewhere in Hannover. It is facing the Schauspielhaus and just round the corner from the Paulaner local at Thielenplatz.

We went there with our group of 16 people. The place is like a brewery. Everything in wood. The waitress was fun and fast! Now you have to understand this is not a gourmet temple! Their food is home style cooking, very simple but tasty....They also have decent prices! Our men loved the beer they serve! So if you would like to have a fun night with simple home cooking food , then is the Alexander a place to go! By the way the menu is in German and English.

The Alexander is a bit like some old English pubs. It is quite dark, with dark basic furniture. The walls are covered with old metal advertisements for beers and cigarettes. I've eaten there with a German colleague many times and my experience is always...the same. The meals are always tasty, and the service is always very quick. It's not haute cuisine. But it is heartwarming good food. Their speciality seems to be fried sliced potatoes which may accompany some meat medallions or pattie and vegetables all adorned with a tasty sauce. This may be brought to the table in your own personal frying pan. Lunchtimes are not always busy and it can feel a little soul less. Evenings are much busier. If...
