This is a local favourites of ours. Easy to order, great hospitality and good menu. Always buzzing and popular with all age groups. We had a late brunch today which was lovely.

Just what I was looking for dog friendly place for a spot of breakfast. Great staff food atmosphere music and interior, got it just right. I’ll be back on my next trip this way for sure. Thank you.

Vegan breakfast very good and very hearty, husband enjoyed his carnivore breakfast. Service was very good, staff were friendly and attentive. This was our first visit, plan to return for an evening meal in the future.

A real high street gem this place. A warm welcome from the host, promptly showed to a table, where a QR code Order process was smooooth. The menu is varied .. I opted for the pulled brisket chilli and it was terrific. I like the food, the decor, and the ambiance of what is a busy Monday evening spot. A find. A recommended find. Top job.

Historically food has always been good at the Alto Lounge. A number of items not available and when food arrived not to the usual standard. Burger was small not even 4oz let alone the 6oz on the menu. Brioche bun replaced with what looked like a cheap sliced Warburtons one and not even going to say what the coleslaw was like. Very rarely complain but requested a refund and left it was that bad.

Watched a nice breakfast with the family before a dog walk and this was the perfect spot ! Katie was so nice and friendly throughout and gave good recommendations as well as helping with our needlessly pedantic order. Was amazingly accommodating and nothing was too much effort for her. Also bringing dog treats for the three dogs went down really well. 100% would recommend (the food was lush too)

There are many dining options in Caversham with a variety of food choices, but I highly recommend trying Alto Lounge. Located on the north side of Church Street, just north of Caversham Bridge, this restaurant offers a cozy pub-like atmosphere with wood floors, tables, and an impressive collection of pictures on the walls. I dined here twice during my stay in the area and enjoyed an egg sandwich and a burger, both of which were delicious. The service was quick and efficient, with the option to order online or at the bar. I also recommend trying their ciders and ales, as they are top-notch. Alto Lounge is a great choice for a meal in the area.

The service at this restaurant is excellent, with a good selection of vegan breakfast options to cater to a variety of dietary needs. The price is a bit steep at £10, but the mix of baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, falafel, greens and peppers, toast, and vegan "bacon" was satisfying. Coffee is an additional £3. I may opt for a smaller, more affordable breakfast selection next time. Despite needing to send my meal back to be reheated, the staff were attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was lively but not overly loud, and the staff responded quickly and effectively when a customer became ill and collapsed (thankfully, he recovered).

I used to love Alto Lounge, but my recent experiences have been disappointing. The food is not worth the money, and the staff are unwelcoming and rude. The girl behind the bar had a terrible attitude and seemed uninterested in being friendly. The food is overpriced and there was hardly anything in stock. The breakfast I ordered was lukewarm with one egg on a soggy piece of bread that wasn't even toasted or buttered. For £10, one egg on a breakfast is not acceptable. The sausages looked undercooked and the whole dish was unappetizing. I will not be returning to Alto Lounge and I do not recommend it unless you want to feel unwelcome and eat overpriced, cold, and clearly microwaved food.
