The best restaurant by a long shot. Been going to Alvaros for 15+ years and always consistently fantastic. Food excellent, service excellent, staff excellent. What's not to love about it.

I come to this amazing restaurant quite a lot, usually with family for birthdays and other family celebrations, we love it, we've never been disappointed. Lovely staff lovely food what else do i need to say

Love the old fashioned service and excellent food downside was I found the service slow and staff not very welcoming we were up in a corner and everybody got served before us Although we got there early otherwise a lovely meal

I first went to Alvaros in the late seventies and thought what a superb restaurant,I have been going ever since and it just gets better every time. The service is second to none the food is too die for. If you’ve never tried this restaurant,then put it on your bucket list. Last visit 23/3/18

I celebrated the 18th birthday of my son at alvaros. he loved it absolutely. eating was amazing. a lot of choice, even from the menu and everything cooked to perfection. even the sweet is amazing. this is a wonderful restaurant, with a first class service from the personal. alvaro is definitely worth a visit and we will return soon.

wonderful! as restaurant should be, excellent service very friendly courtesy coworkers. still has the trolley for filling flaming on the table the delicious dessert car. large menu, a lot of choice, eating out was perfect. cozy bar to sit have a drink during the decision on the menu. our favorite restaurant from now on, just wanted us to live closer. thanks to alvaros!

best restaurant in the city for old fashion service (i.e. very friendly and attentive) and delicious food. Many of the dishes are served with delicious rich sauces and some are actually freshly cooked next to their table. many delicious Portuguese dishes as well as French and other haute cuisine. freddy has operated this place for decades and always buys fresh products so that the special menu can vary daily. it is fucked away, but easy to find, from the hamlet court rd and there is always parking near or even outside in the evening. an unforgettable eating in traditional environment is worth a visit.

we have been eating in alvaros for 38 years and I have never had a disappointing meal. the choice is amazing. you are always cooked to perfection. you steak in her mouth. I love the dishes they cook at their table. my man always has the mariscos espetada. it is a spectacular dish of garnel and skalopps wrapped in speck hanging on a spits above her teller with garlic butter drops from him. he loves it. I try to have different dishes of the main course, but tend to have fresh asparagus with olive oil, garlic and parmesan for my first course. the economical is thick, juicy and tender and simply delicious. the dessert trolley is mouthwater and its cheese plate has a good selection of quality che...
