"Look if you 're American, as I am (well British American 48:52 in year ratio), you 're not going to find the authentic American burger in most European cities. The same way as the concept of the traditional British pub in the US becomes some sort of nightmarish cross between Applebee 's and Victoria, BC. You 're also in Zurich, which is rediculously expensive. Seriously, it explains why the Swiss have the highest average pay in Europe. If you normalized to cost of living I reckon they 'd lose that title! What you will find at the Stars and Stripes is a pleasant bar, where nearly all the wait staff speak English, they are perfectly attentative without acting like they 're your your personal slaves and a pretty decent burger. There 's decent country playing, easy listening country, not pop country and unfortunately not outlaw country. If you ask, they 'll find you a football (American), baseball, basketball or hockey game if it 's playing, they have the channels. And let 's be honest, when you 're traveling on business in Europe during the season, all you really want is a place that can give you the game with a few beers; food comes second. In saying the above, I had the Goldie burger with fries and can only ding them on a few things; even then one of those is a personal preference, so it doesn 't count. The burger is cooked medium it says that on the menu, so don 't have any other expectations. It was cooked fine, they understand medium, which gives them kudos in my book. It also tastes like pure beef, no extra fluff seasoning or fillers. If it doesn 't taste like a McDonald 's, or that egg bound, breadcrumb filler, mess you claim is your glorious homemade burger when grilling at home, it 's because it is a simpler patty and likely better quality meat. Personal preference failure, the house made pickles were too sweet, I like the more sour Dill style. They need to go taste tast at a local Jewish deli and come back ever pickle changed. Places they could improve: the guac is not good, same consistency and bland taste as you would expect from a pre made packet. Save your money from buying that extra, it 's ****. My advice for the resturant, forget the guac and just offer a side of a few slices of avo for the burger. Trust me, your pure beef will appreciate the simplicity of a little, creamy, avo slice mingling in its juices. Second was the plating of the burger. It was cool to see the pickles center of the plate, they looked good, but they should make sure to not have excessive pickle juice when you put them on the plate. The juice got under the bun, wetting it. No one wants to eat a soggy hamburger bun, and it 's a simple fix. Best movie is to bring the burger and fries together and put the pickles and fixings on a separate plate build a burger! My rating reflects what I think, compared to other mainland European resturants who try to do the American themed menus. Is it going to be like back in the US? No, I wouldn 't expect it to, but they do a reasonably good job. Did I mention that they 'll put the 'game ' on for you? Oh the simple things in life..."

Ein sehr enttäuschendes Restaurant. Bei den Cocktails ist mehr Schaum als Flüssigkeit drin. Cesar Salat wird nicht mit der typischen Cesar Salat Sauce zubereitet. Pommes versalzen und fettig. Preis-Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. Ich kann es nicht empfehlen und werde bestimmt nie mehr dorthin gehen.

Der Service ist Mangelhaft und Langsam. Wir hatten eine Vorspeise für 2 die war ganz OK und danach als Hauptspeise 2x Clubsandwich. Nach der Vorspeisse mussten wir satte 30' auf unser Clubsandwich warten - voller Euphorie erhirlten wir unser Sandwich! Der Toast war bereits hart, ausgetrocknet und kalt und die Pouletbrust ebenso. Vom Servicepersonal kam keine wirklich Entschuldigung und die Organisation ist laussig.

Wir haben gestern einen wunderschönen Abend als Familie im Stars and Stripes im Glattpark verbracht. Burger und Steaks waren ausgezeichnet, das amerikanische Ambiente liess Fernweh aufkommen... kurz: Hier stimmt das Angebot, und ein schöner Abend mit Familie oder Freunden ist garantiert. Das einzige Unamerikanische an diesem Restaurant an heissen Sommertagen ist die fehlende Klimaanlage :-) - aber es gibt schattige Aussenplätze... Ver carta

Mein Sohn liebt Burger, hatte Geburtstag und so sind wir auf dieses Lokal gekommen. Im Gegensatz zu andern Bewertungen hat bei uns alles gestimmt. Der Tisch war mit Ballonen geschmückt, wir haben telefonisch vorbestellt und den Geburtstag erwähnt. Der Service war tiptop, unsere Bedienung Marco sehr freudlich und man hatte das Gefühl dass da ein gutes Team zusammenarbeitet. Unser Essen, Burgers mit Pommes und Salat und Fajitas mit Chicken waren frisch und von guter Qualität. Die Burger genauso gebraten wie wir es bestellt hatten. Liebes Team Vielen Danke für den heutigen Aufenthalt. Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal bei euch. Sind durch die Flyer Aktion auf euch aufmerksam geworden. Was ich positiv erwähnen kann von vornherein ist die Freundlichkeit des Personals, die Lage eures Diners, foodquality und die Quantität. Zwei von uns aßen die Buffalowings und einer einen Vegiburger. Nichts zu beanstanden. Bei den Getränken, Schnelligkeit im servieren wie auch bei leeren Getränken ein weiteres anzubieten, gibt es in meinen Augen noch Potential nach oben.
