"Knowing that my family and I would be in Abergavenny around lunchtime prior to a walk up Sugar Loaf, I took the rare step of being prepared by looking up a tea shop that served cream teas with clotted cream (any civilised person would of course faint into their jam at the sight of whipped! and didn't close at 2pm (as if everyone's appetite sticks to a schedule . Meeting those requirements alone would have been enough to get a good review, but I was genuinely delighted by The Little Treat. From the moment we walked in, our every need was met. We thought we'd have trouble finding a table as the only one remaining was for 2 people (there were 4 of us , but the lovely gentleman behind the counter asked if we'd like that table and then immediately brought 2 extra chairs over and ensured that we were comfortably sat with menus ordering was prompt and correct. His colleague delivered our food and, when it became clear that there would be a slight delay in my daughter's order, brought over complimentary drinks. The food was excellent neither pretentious nor poor quality. Both our hosts were unfailingly polite, but sincerely so, and genuinely warm. The service alone was worthy of note if all catering establishments were like this then the world would be a happier place but the food left us all satisfied as well. I really look forward to next time we're in Abergavenny so we can visit again."

"Visited this coffee shop in August 2022 whilst out shopping in Abergavenny. Hadn't read reviews prior to our visit but can understand why there are so many 5* reviews. Initially, the cafe appeared dated in decor, we were unsure whether to stay and therefore asked for a table outside in the courtyard which equally appeared to need a makeover. However, please do not let that put you off a visit. I approached the counter for a menu and was informed that there were no written menus to take back to the table and would I like to take a photo of the menu display board, which I did. I noticed that the staff were very friendly, dressed well in official uniform and actively wanted their customers to feel at ease and have a pleasant meal. We ordered 2 coffees and 2 panini and chips all excellent quality with the panini presented just as is shown in the photo above. My coffee was particularly good, strong brew and very tasty just how I like it! Upon leaving The Coffee Pot, I noticed that the inside seating was now filling up, with many Octaganarian locals sampling the delights on offer a sure fire sign that the place is high quality as a regular haunt for the discerning older adult. I considered giving a slightly lower rating but overall cannot fault our visit and urge to you give it a try when looking for a lunch spot in Aber. Enjoy."

The food was exceptional, earning a solid five stars for its delicious flavors and presentation. The service was also commendable, with a friendly staff that provided attentive service, warranting a four-star rating. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and pleasant, which added to our overall enjoyment, so I rated it four stars as well. As for parking, I’m unsure of the availability, but I did notice that there is a paid parking lot nearby. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a special dinner!"

"this restaurant was recommended by many friends. we finally visited our first visit. the food was so delicious. we are stuck in our normal curry orders tikka masala and corma. they were so tasty and had only this additional taste dragon more than other curries we had in the past. mushroom bhaji was very tasty and added a beautiful additional layer of taste. I usually can't stop naanbrot, so I shared one. I wish I had one to me, so delicious, so make sure they have their own! there were many dishes coming from the kitchen that melt amazingly, so we will go back and try to be more adventurous and choose another dish. worth a visit."

"We stopped here for lunch on our way home from vacation, and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! It's a lovely pub with delicious food; I had the steak pie, which was fantastic. Prices were very reasonable — just £40 for two mains, two desserts, two drinks, and a coffee. The location is beautiful, and the ambiance is delightful. The staff provided excellent service and were incredibly friendly. Plus, they are very dog-friendly!"
