First visit here, and we were really impressed by the food. Amazing Sunday lunches with a hearty and very tasty plate of food, each item cooked very well. This is a lovely pub on the river. Went for a drink. Decided to book Sunday lunch. Was asked for phone no. Shame when we arrived was told no lunch available and 'not to shoot the messenger! ' No explanation given. I know things can happen but it would have been courteous to inform us beforehand. So beware a quick call asking if food was being served might be a good idea! However we were directed to the Chestnut Tree approx 1 mile away Sunday lunch was excellent. Ver carta
