"Exquisite. Just loved it! We had cocktails in the bar, followed by an outstanding vegan three-course meal. The cherry and amaretto sorbet dessert was one of the best we’ve ever tasted! Humble thanks to Kevin for the warm welcome; Jay for making fab cocktails; restaurant manager Marcio for being a gracious host; and pianist Ian for playing Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata and Vivaldi’s Spring so beautifully. Unrivalled style and taste... We loved everything – the grand drive up, the lush forest setting, the stained-glass windows, the bespoke cocktails, the plant-based menu. Excellent service from waiters Johnny, Keith, Kazimir, Romeo and Richard too. We’re already looking forward to our next visit."

Overall very nice Welcoming ambience is nice for an English country house tool took a while to ask for drinks before the meal and unfortunately some fish dishes were sold on a Wednesday

Anderida, Wych Cross. Superb venue with superb food. Excellant value Table D'Hote Menu. Smoked Salmon and Parfait, followed by Seabass and Stuffed Guinea Fowl. The last course was their amazing Creme Brulee, certainly the best we have ever tasted. A lovely walk around the lake followed and watching the dear. Cant wait to return

If you are worth a visit for the 1990s. You need an update, carpet in the Loos? I have to say more.. Staff are very pleasant and helpful, but kitchen closes at 2 a.m. for lunch, so despite the fact that I warned staff that my friends were lost and wanted to come too late to say to the restaurant, we could only have a snack in the bar. Will not be visited again.

Anderida, Ashdown Park Hotel. Yet another superb meal. The smoked salmon and scallop starter was so fresh and the onion soup was classed as the best ever tasted. 2 of the guests,. ; had the lamb which just melted, the others Guinea Fowl and Seabass, both cooked to perfection. The table was in a great position overlooking the lake. Service was attentive, the whole meal was a lovely relaxing time had by all

Very pleasant meal with old friends. The food was very good and well presented and all four of us enjoyed our menu choices. The Amuse Bouche was particularly delicious and a great start to the meal. The waiting staff were young and obviously learning style, but this is not a criticism in any way. All employees were welcoming, pleasant and competent. Ashdown Park is a beautiful environment and the Anderida is a very good restaurant for the upscale or traditional occasions.

We went to Anderida in the Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club because it was on the way between Brighton and London. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, even though we were a good 30 mins late. I had the salmon as a starter which was good but unfortunately swimming in lemon juice, which I don't particularly like. After that though, the chicken breast was perfect and came with loads of spring greens. Will definitely recommend to anybody who's in the neighbourhood.

Anderida, Ashdown Park Hotel, Wych Cross. A good varied menu. Food very nicely presented. The chicken stuffed with Chorizo was a little overpowering but the red cabbage was beautifully seasoned. The salmon with crushed new potatoes and onion was the right balance but the salmon could have been a little more cooked in the middle for my own taste, however the dish tasted lovely. As ever a lovely relaxed meal we will certainly return another day as the food in the past has always been first rate

"Honestly...one of the best pub restaurants I have ever visited! We chose to eat here as it was recommended via Alistair Sawday, and it did not disappoint. The food, atmosphere, hygiene and service were all 5* when we visited last night. We sat inside, by candlelight, and ordered 2 starters (the Rye smoked mackerel with buttercream sauce and the heritage tomato salad and 2 mains (the beef burger with fries and the hake with toasted ciabatta and garden peas . It was truly exquisite! We both cleaned our plates (and we don't usually do that! . My only mild criticism is that I didn't realise the hake dish would include bacon lardons they certainly added to the flavour, but as an ethical pescatarian, this could have ruined the meal for me (I didn't allow it to, but 10 years ago when I was more strict it may have upset me . I may have simply missed this ingredient when reading the menu, and I didn't make the waiting staff aware of my dietary preferences, so I accept this was my fault and not theirs. It's just something for other pescatarians reading this review to be aware of. I have absolute confidence that they would prepare the hake dish without the bacon lardons if you asked. As for me....my boyfriend gleefully took them from my plate and demolished them himself! We also enjoyed a medium glass of wine each my boyfriend (who is very particular loved the tempranillo and I had their Italian pinot grigio. Our entire meal would have been less than £60, but with the current government incentive scheme to eat in, it came to less than £40!! We tipped generously as they truly deserved it. We will 100% be returning and can't advocate them enough."
