"if you visit the angel and the white horse, please note that it does not like everyone. here they want an authentic pub experience in old style. this management prohibits the use of electronics (which will not be able to show their photos to someone for example). or if they are discreet). they have only beer and apple wine from the innate samuel smith brewery. some of the animals are served at room temperature from egg barrels. the menu on which entry is published has no food listed--tho' they could fight a bag of if they want. this pub was my main reson for visiting tadcaster. because I wanted to taste samuel smith's love and the sorts we couldn't get in the states - and I wasn't disappointed at all. the old brewery bitter is now the best beer I ever tasted, the brewery holds several pure white shire horses that are used to deliver to local pubs (and to guide local parades when they are outside between 8 and 8:30 clock it is a great sight. if they are looking for predictable pub food and a selection of internationally known brews, there is another pub on the street. Here it was a pleasure to grab pints of a family-run traditional brewery dedicated to quality, and chat with the natives who, like many brides, are a little far from American standards, but very friendly when they are to broble a thema."

unusual for a farmer there are no dogs allowed here, as the brewery owner is a sam smiths pub that has banned them together with mobile devices, music and card payments.

Haven't eaten here for years but decided to try Sunday lunch. Pub was quiet when we arrived but we were shown to our tab!e by a friendly young man and drinks orders were quickly taken. Sunday lunch was delicious, hot, plentiful and so tasty. We...will definitely return

Fitted out in true Sam Smith's style as befits the brewery tap, with a lot of wood panelling and the usual no music/no TV/not even admitting outside who owns the pub. A comfortable and pleasant place to while away a spare hour or so. But...shock horror! The beer has reached the dizzy heights of £2 a pint!

A large group will always test any restaurant or pub. In a party of 20 plus, a basic Sunday lunch should be relatively easy. Not in this case some of us got two Yorkshire puddings others got one and some none. Can you believe that...a pub restaurant in Yorkshire ran out of what looked like Frozen Yorkshire’s.

Visited this pub during a football away day with SSFC. The manager really pulled out all the stops to make us feel welcome. There were approx 50 odd supporters and the bar staff managed no problem. Also they didn't try to have our eyes out,...just excellent beer and good chat with the locals. Thanks again to the manager.

we visited tadcaster to visit sam smiths pubs. this is by far the most beautiful of them all in tadcaster and see the horses in the stables is really beautiful. but from all his pubs, the employees here were really unfriendly and not welcome. at all. we visited this pub at three places during our stay and never once greeted with a smile, in which even contact was a struggle. So, although beautifully done, godliness over the staff.

Called in to Tadcaster on the way back from a mini break top side of York. Never been to Tad before but it is an interesting place. Called in at the Angel for refreshments loved this traditional type pub that is attached to the...old Samuel Smith's brewery. Lovely beer at £2 a pint loved the quiet ambience little snug rooms with log burning open fires. The beautiful white shire horses that are still used to deliver the beer locally are right there in the courtyard stables. Will certainly be back here when heading home to Doncaster after another visit to York.

We rang up early evening to check what time they stopped serving food. 8pm they said. So we arrived at 7.30 and ordered drinks. The barman told us that they stopped serving food at 8, so we got a table and had a look at...the menu. At 7.40 we were just going to order when the barman came over and told us they had stopped serving, the chef was going home! He apologised but didn't seem especially sorry or to think this was unacceptable! We protested, couldn't believe how unprofessional this was. Two minutes later another member of staff appeared and told us they were still serving. We gave him our order straight away, before they changed their minds again! The food came quite quickly, it was o...

"My partner and I visited Caramaba Brazilian Steakhouse on a Sunday, attracted by the promise of a diverse salad bar and a variety of freshly prepared buffet meats. The restaurant ambiance was inviting, and we appreciated the intimate experience of being the only ones there a strong highlight being the spiced pineapple The salad bar did not disappoint, offering an array of options including cheesy mash, garlic bread, pasta, various vegetables, and nachos. It was a great start to our dining experience, and we were looking forward to sampling the buffet meats. However, our excitement waned when we encountered an issue with the preparation of the meats. Despite my partner's preference for well done meat, I had expressed a desire for medium rare, trusting the chef's recommendations. Unfortunately, both times my meat arrived, it was well done, contrary to my request. I brought this to the attention of the staff, hoping for a correction. Regrettably, even after requesting a second serving cooked to medium rare, the meat still arrived well done. This inconsistency was disappointing and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable meal. In conclusion, while Caramaba Brazilian Steakhouse offers a pleasant atmosphere and a varied selection of salad bar items and buffet meats, the inability to fulfill specific cooking preferences was a notable downside. Improved attention to customer requests and consistency in food preparation would greatly enhance the overall dining experience."
