Not many people in the afternoon, fast service and nice inside garden. Delicious food, take the dessert with meringue and dried fruits!

Fabulous food (possibly the most delicious pasta we've ever had) in an elegant, relaxed atmosphere, and clearly a favourite with locals. So good we went back the following night.

Expensive food. Very average. Nothing out of the ordinary. Service quite slow. Starter was duck ravioli with truffle (the best course) pigeon with polenta was tough and chewy; sea bass with courgette was bland. Disappointing could have been better.

The food is amazing. I’ve genuinely been tempted to fly back for a bowl of their porcini pasta or their duck ravioli. The area inside is cosy for a dinner, they have a little terrace outside which is nicer for lunch if it’s not too hot. They do a fantastic negroni spagliato and a really lovely chianti reserva by the glass as well. Can’t recommend highly enough… we went back on multiple times on our short trip to lucca!

Good restaurant with dishes outside the common well cooked some of which derive from the sicula tradition. I started with pumpkin flowers stuffed with branzino and burrata and then take the swordfish with caponata and sesame and finish with the green apple sorbet. All good. Interesting, particular, unusual and from the comment of those who tried them also very good, the pigeon with the polenta (crostini of polenta formenton fruit with a wing, a mug and the pigeons)

On the way to Liguria, we decide to make a stop in Lucca and we book our way in this restaurant, located inside the city walls, in the historic center. The environment is very pleasant and characteristic, the owner explains to us that the premises ( once owned by the Municipality) are there since 1400. We decide to try everything, from appetizers, to first, to second. All excellently cooked by an old lady who at the end of the dinner also comes to greet us. Everything perfectly!.
