"Whilst this in a great location next to the river, this appears to be all its got going for it. This is my first go at Venezuelan food and this has not encouraged me to try again. The food was either tough, dry, tasteless or just cold. Plaintain originates from my country too and I used to the sweetness of the taste when my gran used to cook it at home. Here they either cannot get hold of ripe bananas or think they can cheat the English palete because they do not know better. Reality check, I do. I have pork shreddings which was soooo dry it felt like it had sat there the whole day only to land on my plate when I arrived at Not keen on this one at all. Nowt more to say really except it seems to be the fate of canalside dining. Had the same medicore dining experience at nearby Proud. It looks like its views over standards."

This review is specifically for dinner. I am disappointed as I had a great experience with brunch and was hoping dinner would be just as good.

friendly caffe in a pleasant location. I found eating nicely presented, but incredibly salty, although it was perhaps meant. I wouldn't try again.

We visited a fantastic brunch place that offers plenty of gluten-free choices. We tried the pork shoulder arepas and they were absolutely delicious. Ver carta

As good Venezuelan, for me there is nothing better than a good pair of arepas, a plate of tequeños or a huge Cachapa with guayanés cheese! This place has it all!!! a bit of Venezuela in London

We all ordered the same; a tin plate filled with chicken, guacamole, black beans, eggs cooked with tomato and onion, cheese and fried plantains. A little plate of cachapas, Venezuelan corn pancakes came on the side that we ripped and dipped and filled.

First time trying Venezuelan food and I can say it was really good. I have tried the Arepa Pabellon which is something like a wrap (Arepa) filled with what you find in their national dish Pabellon such as beef, black beans, cheese and plantain (banana alike). Price was reasonable less than £15 with drinks. Staff is very kind and I'm looking forward to go back again to try the Cachapas. Ver carta

I'm eating around the world without leaving London and this week I'm blogging about Venezuelan food at Arepa and Co. This colourful and cosy Latin-American eatery is located on the banks of the Regent's Canal, just off the Kingsland Avenue in hip Haggerston. I'd passed by the place a couple of times on weekend walks, and most of the time it was heaving. So for my Wednesday visit, Id made a reservation, but that was not really necessary. There were a few other people, but nothing like those weekend crowds.

while this in a great location next to the river, this seems all they get for it. that is my first way into the Venezuelan food and that has not encouraged me to try again. eating was either hard, dry, tasteless or simply cold. the gips also came from my country and I used to the sweet of the taste when my gran cooked it to home. here they can either not keep mature bananes or think they can cheat the English palate because they don't know better. veritable, I do. I've had a badger that was soou dry, it felt like it was sitting there all day, just to land on my teller when I arrived at 19 o'clock. that's not really sharp. now more to say, really except...read more
