We really enjoyed lunch here with a traditional market meal on the terrace. Everything we ate was very good and the service was friendly. The prices were quite reasonable as well.

This is a very popular restaurant above the well known local market. It's unassuming but packed with locals who know how to enjoy a good meal with very reasonable price. The set menu is highly recommended for a lunch meal. Ver carta

Upstairs at the market you are sort of spoiled for choice, so it was sheer luck we stopped at Au Bon Graillaou. The lunch menu for Euro was excellent value. The choice was very good, as was the service. As you would expect for...a restaurant above a food market the produce we're so fresh. All in all a really good experience.

Busy place above Victor Hugo Market, do not be deceived by the stairs' leading to the restaurant, it is worth it and filled with locals (always a good sign), The food is very good, fresh, good value and the service is also very good (keep...in kind this is a very busy place, patience require). Not sure if this is a single restaurant or about all next to each other. It’s located upstairs above the indoor market. They cook the food on sale downstairs. We had the plat de jour. I had the salmon to start, steak and frites...followed by the biggest piece of lemon meringue pie in the world. The waitress was great helping us where we failed with our French. Great food each for huge courses.

Restaurant was almost completely full for Sunday lunch but we received a friendly welcome and were guided to a table that was better than the one we might have chosen. The noise is part of the atmosphere. Our waiter was a French law student with excellent English which meant that I could not practise my French! Very busy but efficient. We loved the baked aubergine with a parmesan sauce as a starter, then perfectly cooked pan-fried fillet of haddock, and finally an enormous lemon meringue pie and banoffee (latter not very French but excellent). This was all on the menu.

Our fantastic tour guide, Penny, from Toulouse Walking Tours recommended this restaurant to our group. We absolutely loved everything about it, and returned for a second visit. We leave Toulouse in the morning, otherwise I’d go back again. It is situated upstairs in the Marché...Victor Hugo, next to several other restaurants. We ate out on the balcony and loved watching the street below, which both times included impromptu musical groups. Smoking is not allowed, which is a real plus! On Friday we ordered from the Prix Fixe menu, Euros for a starter course, main dish and dessert. A picket of wine, equaling almost glasses cost about euros!
