"The food was simply fantastic: from cold tomato soup as entree to pre-desert, desert and after-desert. Service was so-so: we sat on the sun and nobody even offered to move our table’s umbrella so that we would covered, until my husband specifically asked for that. All waiters was very official and cold, no small talk, no jokes, so atmosphere was quite tense. At the end, when we asked for a check, we got it and we expected someone to take our credit card. After we have been sitting for good 15 minutes, a guy came to our table and told us we were supposed to go to the reception to pay our bill ourselves. That was unusual. The price, however, was very decent: Euro 56 for 3 course lunch of that high quality was very reasonable."

"We stayed a few steps from this store and stopped for breakfast two consecutive mornings. each visit featured two ladies working behind the counter who were very useful with our pastries and coffee orders. Pastry was fresh, we also bought yoghurt and juice for our group that included several children. there was a surprising selection of choice since the store was not very large. But there were many seats for our 8."

"The food is tubs of pâté of different types and flavors. They give it to you with a loaf of bread that is delicious and they have many tubs to choose from. The best one is the one the girl recommended to us, the Leonardo (Da Vinci) tub, but the others were also very good. 4 tubs, water and 2 coffees: €36 The place is beautiful and is a cool oasis for the heat of these days. We have been very comfortable in the shade of a willow tree. The staff is very friendly and they recommend things if you don't know exactly what to order (as was our case). The perfect place to gain strength Before or after reserving a canoe to go see the castle on the river. Our idea was to go to the castle directly, but seeing this place to eat, we changed our mind. The change has been worth it."

"We were very disappointed by our dinner at the rose garden restaurant. We had taken 2 medicis menus at 56 € . Note to start the installation on a bench table !! The declination entry of a foie gras is to be classified in the worst dishes I could see: a tiny and mist foie gras, an immangeable foie gras jam, and a quarter of a hot foie gras terrine. Then a paved of beef requested bleeding and served so cooked and not eaten .... ul the dessert has been eaten. We had the apologies of the service staff and the chief but no commercial action at the time of the note. A tip: if you go to Chenonceau, avoid this old restaurant, demoded to surprising cuisine."

"We had a one night stay here and found the hotel nicely relaxed. Our room was a standard one with a comfy bed and tv. The bathroom was adequate and the water good and hot. What made the stay was the delicious dinner. We could not have been helped more with any of our requests. A walk along the village before bed finished the day for us. The selection at breakfast was good for both of us but if you want your water hot for your tea get there early, or ask for a new thermos. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would come again."
