"Excellent views over the harbour at pretty Loguivy and good use of local ingredients in a menu that offers something for everyone eg those just seeking a moules-frites type meal or those looking for something more. We tried the monkfish osso-bucco, which was good,...and the dover sole, which was okay but not as well cooked as it should have been. Both were £20 plus. Madame was sociable and helpful and has put together a wine list which reflects her own fine tastes some unusual choices on this, from Brusset Cotes de Rhone to Irouleguy. We enjoyed ourselves overall (good atmosphere) but like some others I couldn't help feeling that the total cost of our meal (which with starters and wine exceeded £100) was much higher than I thought it was worth and that the cuisine ultimately lacked some refinement and (like someone else has said) excitement. Our experiences suggested it can be busy at lunchtime, less so in the evening."

I was disappointed that in October 2014 I had to write a very critical review of the au grand large. I'm glad to report they're back together. we had dinner there at the beginning and were warmly welcomed. service. was friendly, but not intrusive, and eating was excellent.

We had a family diner at le Grand Large. if the view is perfect and the staff very friendly, food isn't very exciting. Products are fresh for sure but dishes definitely lack of taste. Price are a little bit expensive for such poor quality. Don't...go there if you expect fine food. I'll probably won't go there again.

eating and service is good. I ordered a seafood tablet and I have a hard time to find out how to eat the wine and the dame just came to our table and showed me how I was the meat of the crabs and. put the sauce on the oysters. it was delicious, I will recommend this place to all who like to eat seafood in loguivy de la mer.

enjoy here several times during our two-week vacation. all the meals were excellent. there is a terrace overlooking the constantly changing activities in the harbour. would recommend the large bar that is a large fish for two people. the employees take it professionally. and serve them. the bar is open all day and snacks (apero) on the afternoon. We are staying in one of the gites by Au Grand Large and spent a lovely couple of hours enjoying a lunch of Fruits de Mer, followed by Moules et Frites plus dessert. We ate on the terrace overlooking the harbour and it was so...enjoyable and relaxing in the sun. The food was excellent and the staff are very accommodating and pleasant. Can definitely recommend.

We had a table by the window overlooking the pretty port. We had the menu at 20€. We chose fish soup or oysters or Romanian salad for starters. For mains we chose entrecôte steaks and cod. Beautifully served, unfortunately we came in after the last...moule and frites had just been served. I had île flottante and the others had coffee. The second week in October many places are closed, but we were lucky that Grand Large was open, and Regine made sure we were well looked after. We will return.

There is not exactly a lot of choice with regard to restaurants in this area. Nevertheless the food at Grand Large was good and reasonably priced. My husband ate the oysters which were very fresh, followed by scallops and a Kougn Amman (local butter pastry)...for desert. I had the fish soup (nice) and then a local fish in a buttery sauce. We had a table from which we could see the port, which was quite spectacular at low tide. Note: Don't expect fancy, tasteful decoration, this is quite a simple place but the serving staff is very friendly. Ver carta

we visited the grand large almost daily during our two-week stay in loguivy. the bar has a great view of the harbour and a small outdoor terrace and is a beautiful place to enjoy a drink with a great view. directly on the...GR34 sentiers des douaniers fußweg, so that the hotel would be a good stop if you walked this stretch so much. we have gedimt twice in the restaurant and at both places to eat was delicious and good value for money. There are several menu options and a good choice in the a la carte. my man enjoyed especially that closed and I loved the scallops that are a speciality in the opposite. both the host and her daughter are very friendly and helpful. they would recommend if they...

I have eaten at Au Grand Large probably a dozen times in the last 10 years, and have enjoyed the experience. However our experience in September was so poor we walked out. We arrived, without booking, but very early. We sat on the terrace for...a drink, and reserved a table just inside the restaurant. Some time later we noticed that the table we had been promised had been given to someone else; we weren't too concerned, as we were enjoying our drinks on the terrace. In the next hour and a half we asked for a menu on three occasions, but none appeared! In the end we paid for our drinks and left. This service is not typical we had not done anything to offend anyone. I shall think twice before...

"A thousand thanks to his husband and his team. A favor! we spent 6 nights in 1/2 board in the upper room with sea view. price challenging all competitions for such beautiful proposals. beautiful family-run hotel, located in a relaxing place, close to the small port and hiking trails; a small paimpol road, cyclical overheating, rocky coasts or wonderful cities. the common rooms are beautifully decorated in blue grey, without excessive overload. our room decorated simply, comfortable and very clean – spacious bathroom with bathtub but also bathrobe and slippers! the first contact on the phone the desire to get there. throughout our stay, the very friendly, attentive, warm, in small care, good advice for the discovery of the region – meteo obliges in March! all staff are in their image, friendly and effective. for restoration, we trusted the daily half board proposals. short and wine dishes, which is a good sign. simple but refined cuisine, well represented dishes, fresh products according to the market of the day. so every day a new proposal from the entrance to the dessert. essentially the fish and seafood for us (langoustines, hairdressing shells, bar, etc. to the perfect and wonderfully cooked kitchen.) we have just been filled! and then the buffet breakfast: copious, offering salt-sucrea. with delicious hot pancakes made by the boss! Sunday evening and Monday evening, restaurant closure. we continued our 1⁄2 pension at the "kerroch Farm" the second restaurant of the hotel, two minutes by car. old rustic inn. the chef offers "côté de la terre" dishes including bovine meat cooked in the fireplace with potatoes under the ash! comments on the site. Yes, we'll go back to your place."
