Aside from returning to Chinon to spend time touring the Chateau and visiting with our new friends, I especially wanted to feast daily on the excellent selections especially the Brioche at Au Plaisir de Chinon. Great selection of the usual croissants, baguettes, gallettes and gourmet chocolates but the Brioche is in my opinion the best I've ever eaten in the world."

It's definitely not "cutting edge", but L'Ardoise is a great local restaurant on a somewhat touristy street in Chinon.
