"This was our second visit to this lovely restaurant, part of a larger hotel, apartment and leisure complex nestling in the hills between Chagny and Aluze. We returned mainly because of its setting, with a wide terrace, shaded in the evening, overlooking a verdant valley with forests opposite. There is a real sense of peace and calm here.The dinner itself was fine, food good (but not exceptional) and an extensive wine list (a little on the pricy side with few cheap options). The 28€ menu is the main choice on offer, although more expensive variants allow you to pick and choose directly from the a la carte menu. The main issue the restaurant has is with its levels of service. Basically they need another pair of hands and perhaps someone extra in the kitchen. On arrival we could see that at least three tables were already losing patience with the wait, and although everything came eventually the gaps were too long, bread and water rather cursorily dumped on our table, everything a bit edgy. Once the peak time had passed, at about 2200, everything became more relaxed.We will return here because of its exceptional setting. It's also worth booking a table, especially if you want to be on the wonderful terrace."

This is an easy place to miss as it is in a small, picturesque French village. It is the restaurant in a large resort. Lunch was truly memorable in every way.

la comida no es excepcional. Las entradas muy buenas, el segundo plato deja que desear. Nada especial y de calidad normal. Se espera comer mejor en Borgoña. Es muy comodo comer ahi y subir a la habitacion.

Nous avons passé un agréable moment à l'occasion d'un déjeuner entre amis.Accueil et professionnalisme sont au rendez-vous pour un prix très correct basé sur un menu à 28 Euros.On nous a proposé pour quatre une grande table ovale avec une vue imprenable sur le vallon.Nous recommandons cet établissement.

An evening meal with great (but expensive) food, friendly and attentive staff, a modern and well designed eating area, and lovely views across a valley to the wooded hills beyond. The restaurant is part of a large hotel, but non-residents popping in for a meal are provided with the same care as are the residents. We had a splendid evening.

The Camp Romain inn offers you a beautiful view of the valley from its terrace. On it you can taste well-made local dishes for a very reasonable price. The wine list is too! On the other hand, the rooms are in their original state and a renovation re-modernization of the place would not be superfluous. The quality of the bedding is not very good but the rooms are quiet. It is every time we pay this place a visit that we are impressed by the service and the friendly attitude of the staff. Even a bit late because of a long walk in de morning we still could have lunch on the wide terrace with its splendid view. We visit this place regularly since 2006 and the high standard is always the same.
