A group of 5 of us went to Saché, France in the Loire Valley We found the Auberge du XIIe siècle in the heart of town.

Un excellent moment de gastronomie: tout est en qualité, de l'accueil au départ. Menu recherché, mets de qualité, présentation originale... On se laisse aller dans l'exceptionnel.

Excellent atmosphere and exceptional food 3 different amuse bouche before 2 different starters and then main course. We had been warned about the poor customer service however on the night that we ate here the young waiting staff were very welcoming and the chef came out to shake our hands and ask if we were enjoying the meal. Not cheap but very good quality we would recommend a special meal here.. Ver carta

An extraordinary experience! Everything was successful during this lunch: smiling and attentive staff, perfectly knowledgeable about their subject, exquisite dishes, perfect presentation, attention to detail in addition to the menu... An excellent wine by the glass... A magical place, out of the ordinary. time... All this for a very reasonable price (37€ . We will come back with great pleasure, perhaps to enjoy the terrace? We ate here on the one night that we were unable to eat at our hotel. The building and terrace are delightful and the 23 euro menu that we chose was good value but the food not exceptional. The wine was expensive. Two members of the staff, a younger male and a lady, were friendly, efficient and professional, however the senior member of staff was quite unwelcoming and showed little interest in what we were ordering. To be honest it is not somewhere that we would return to.

We had an extraordinary and memorable meal here in this beautiful old building, at a reasonable price for such quality and ambience. So many nice touches, including the beautiful crockery and the plentiful amuse bouches. The snail sausage, artichoke ravioli and duck were particularly wonderful. Although the garden is lovely, we would recommend sitting inside to enjoy the beautiful old room. Our only disappointment was the coldness of the service, which we could not determine was due to the French way , or the fact that we were foreigners (speaking French) and a gay couple.
