"In the morning we talked to the owner and ordered a table at 8pm with space outside on the terrace. When we arrived in the evening, all seats were occupied and the owner and what we suppose is his wife referred us inside. When we had decided to taste their mussels in lobster bisque, we sat at the table and waited. What was bad service was that we were not contacted for a long time, not a word or just handing out menu cards were made. All in all we could see they went by with food for guests outside. After the long wait, they quickly delivered the menu card at a time when we were about to leave the restaurant. It took just as long time again before they asked what we would like to eat. When we asked for their mussels, we were told that they served only once a week and not today. It was a big disappointment to wait so long time and to be so long ignored and then not to have what we would prefer. It seems that the restaurant is serviced by a married couple and we only saw one in the kitchen. It's not enough for a little staff to run a restaurant on a Saturday night. Their menu is still very limited.Hope we have a second time to try and experience a better service and have a taste of their food as we that evening chose to eat somewhere else."

Went to this lovely restaurant with two friends and we were all impressed by the food and the service. Buffet for starters, choice of meat or fish followed by buffet dessert. This menu included a quarter litre of wine and a coffee, for a total cost of €24 pp.

This has to be one of the best dinners I've had in this part of the world. Really excellent home made dishes all reasonably priced and accompanied by some very nice local wine. We were made to feel very welcome throughout and have resolved to go back again very soon. Such a lovely little place.

I havent been to Lorgues before and this is the first restaurant we tried. We are tempted to go back every night! The owners are really taking cooking local food with quality ingredients seriously. The starter buffet was one of the best I have ever had and cannot recommend enough. The chips are also to die for!!

Had a couple of lunches in this restaurant and enjoyed both. The setting is quite cosy and the service very friendly and keen to please.Food was well cooked with good ingredients. Unlike several restaurants in a similar )very reasonable) price bracket the food including desserts seemed to be 'fait maison'. I will definitely go again Ver carta

We enjoyed a really tasty meal here; the set menu was excellent value and although fairly traditional, very well cooked and tasty - they rightly pride themselves on the fact that everything is home made. We were also very impressed by the service; all the staff were really friendly and helpful, and we were impressed by how kind and attentive they were to another English family who spoke no French at all.

The sign says it is under new ownership. The chef and his wife have been in the restaurant business over forty years, and just recently opened up this fine place on the main street in Lorgues. Accompanying the Plat du Jour is a made from scratch buffet that is a meal in itself. They usually have two choices for the Plat de Jour. I have seen rabbit, veal, lamb, scallops, fish and much more. They also have a full list of entrees. We will definitely be back.

A very popular little restaurant in the heart of Lorgues. The lady owner is very pleasant and she and her husband le Chef, are obviously proud of their establishmenet. The starter or dessert are "à volonté" that is help yourself. We have eaten there 3 or 4 times and the main courses have been delicious and well presented. The desserts are all home made of a wide choice and delightful. This is not gourmet dining but a very tasty experience at a very acceptable price. Ver carta

We went last night to this new restaurant in Lorgues with friends. What a pleasant surprise. All the food is fresh including starters and desserts. We chose the set menu of 27 euros, and my wife and I had the escargot, followed by the dorade, ending with an assortment of desserts. We selected a a wonderful wine and the entire meal was perfect. In fact, the dorade came as a large whole grilled fish. The restaurant was entirely filled that evening. The prices are excellent and I would highly recommend going there, but make sure you have a reservation.

We went there with friends for dinner and where very pleasantly surprised. Though not fancy, the place is nicely set and the waitress, who is also the owner, is very attentive to all her diners. The diner formula, besides the "a la carte" list, includes different combinations such as Appetizers buffet and main course or main course and dessert or .... the 3 of them. The different dishes we tasted were to our expectations while the wine choice, though not large, is plenty sufficient. The pastries were delicious and the bill extremely decent at a little more than €30 per person. In short.... a must try!

"Le Jardin de Berne is undoubtedly our favorite Michelin-starred restaurant for 2024. We were expecting friendly Provençal cuisine, but this dinner went well above our expectations. Louis Rameau's cuisine is infinitely precise, tasty and sincere. This dinner (October 2024) at the Michelin-starred restaurant of the Château de Berne (where we had an excellent stay) was truly a memorable experience, surpassing all our expectations. As soon as we arrived, we were seduced by the exceptional setting: nestled in the heart of the Provencal vineyards, this place exudes elegance and serenity. The view is splendid, and the decor refined and refined. The dining room team was able to welcome us with professionalism and delicacy (a constant during this meal) and every detail of the service is thought of to make us feel privileged. Thanks to them. In terms of cuisine, Louis Rameau offers a true ode to Provence. Each dish highlights local and seasonal products, sublimated with remarkable creativity. The cuisine is frank, direct without ever betraying the essence of Provençal flavors. And the balance of textures and tastes on each plate is perfectly mastered. What we liked was the readability of the plates. No frills here, what is announced is found on the plate and in the mouth. It’s frank, delicate and without unnecessary pretentious folklore around. Huge favorite for the trout poached in olive oil mushroom gnocchi (a marvel of sweetness), the leek cooked twice with anchovies (divine) and the remarkable olive dessert from pastry chef Eric Raynal , high-flying! The menu/card presented to you is in itself a very beautiful object which highlights all the values of the house. A unique, sincere and very appreciable approach. From the ceramist responsible for tableware, to the Provençal producers/suppliers, to the market gardening approach of the house, their production of cheese, honey... the emphasis is on the good, the local, the virtuous. No wonder the restaurant also won a green macaron, demonstrating a committed and responsible approach to gastronomy. Also worth mentioning is the very fine wine list, which obviously gives pride of place to local wines. And thank you to the sommelier for her very good suggestion. In short, this restaurant is much more than a simple meal, it is an immersion in the Provençal art of living, enhanced by an enchanting setting and high-end cuisine. An essential address for gastronomy lovers looking for authenticity and refinement. And without a doubt, soon to be double-starred (it would be more than deserved). We left the Château de Berne enchanted and impatient to return for a new culinary discovery."
