To begin, they honored my accidental misdated reservation! Absolutely wonderful experience. Great food, people, decor and hospitality. Looked small and obscure from outside, but once inside and seated, wonderful experience. You can't go wrong with this hidden gem!

We went there without a reservation an were lucky to get a nice table upstairs. The service was extremely courteous. Recommendations from the owner guided us to a very enjoyable meal. This is a simple, welcoming and uncomplicated place. Would go back on a future visit to Nantes. Ver carta

Booking based on the recommendation of Tripasvisor, we were pleased to find the food as delightful as recommended and the service friendly and efficient. We ordered 4 nicely priced menu's with additional orders of deserts - we couldn't choose between the nice options. The cheesecake was particularly tasty.

Acting on reviews from trip advisor and noting the difficulty in finding a restaurant open on a Sunday evening in France, we snapped up a booking at Aux Fourneaux. So Glad we did, the décor was nice, the restaurant was spotlessly clean. The service was very good as was the food.Everything you could ask for in a restaurant really.Oh and the cheescake at desert was amazing!

Finding a restaurant open on a Sunday night in France can be tricky so I booked and hoped for the best and was not disappointed. The service was very good, the food was lovely (very partial to a good steak tartare and the pain perdu dessert was delicious) and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. It is quite small however and was packed so reserving for a Sunday evening is recommended. Ver carta

We visited this restaurant with my husband this weekend while we were spending some time in Nantes. I was a bit hesitant in the beginning because it was recommended by the hotel where we stayed and I was fearing it would be a tourist attraction or something.But no! Everything was excellent, the food was superb and my husband enjoyed it even more than I did. I will certainly revisit if we go to Nantes again. Strongly recommended!

Nice little place- great service, romantic atmosphere outside (a bit squashed inside). I ordered the 'tartine de boeuf' not quite realising what it was but trusting as per usual in France whatever I ordered would be good, it turned out to be raw mince (in burger shape) and a raw egg...which for what it was was probably great, starter was pastry with cheese and herbs (slightly on the heavy side), dessert chocolate fondant nice. Pommes de terres with garlic on side delicious!

I've been to this restaurant with my family, booking through TripAdvisor. The place is really small and distributed over two floors. Very few tables so I suggest you make a reservation. Service was incredibly slow - we waited half a hour just to get our beverages - but it could have been because of the weekend (I've been on a Friday night). On the contrary, food was excellent. Choice was limited because every dish is carefully selected and prepared by the chef. A fish and a meat options are always presented and everything was delicious. Dessert as well, I would definitely recommend it. Bill was in line with the food's quality. Ver carta
