"Babylone is a family owned establishment in Etienne Marcel and you can tell that it is. We went on a Friday without a reservation. It is very busy on a Friday and they warmly let us in, because they could see that we're family. The drinks to start off were great and huge! We had to wait a bit for our food because a celeb (Teddy Riner, French Olympic Gold Medalist...look him up!) was in the house. We had Curry Chicken, Plantains, White Rice, Coconut Cream Chicken, Fritters and Beans. As someone who has experienced Caribbean cuisine extensively, we can say that the food is impressive. Despite the wait we were kept informed about what was going on and the hosts of sisters were very apologetic and nice about it. At the end we hugged it out and we would return if we went back to Paris. Just ensure you make a reservation!!"

It can be difficult to find a hearty meal in Paris, but this is meat-and-potatoes (or plantains) at its best.

Absolutely worst service on this side of the Atlantic and beyond. After 45 minutes of waiting for a meal (and everyone who arrived after us being

Chicken of such poor quality and so dry all the sauces from Africa cannot redeem it. The nice staff is a bit overwhelmed as we (a large party) waited 1.30h. for our dishes and some were not what was ordered. Ver carta

Couldn't come to Paris without having our African chicken with the unique chili sauce.Food is consistently good, generous portions and served in very good spirits. We went at 8pm and were the first guests, in this is casual eating place that opens to the early hours.

This was recommended to us by friends who frequently travel to Paris. Went here twice during our last trip. Their African - something like Peri Peri cooked chicken was moist and delicious. The dips were good plus the chicken comes with rice. We will dine here again the next time we visit Paris.

Each year I go I make sure I get here at least one time. It's a great place to start the first night I get into town after that long flight. It's relaxing and entertaining. My favorite: Salad with shrimp, tomato, avocado (Salade avec crevette, tomate, avocat)Entree: 1/2 Grilled Chicken ( Poulet Braise')And the music is good and the owner is a lot of fun. Ver carta

This eatery was spectabulous. The food was exceptional. The taste, the texture, the herbs.... mwah-lah! Great ambiance and the service was good as well. It was by-far the best eatery of our 9-day trip in Paris. This includes the $85pp meal and across the board, Babylon Bis beat everybody hands down. I'm an herb and spice girl. This is from a great cook with fam members in the restaurant and catering businesses, we're good.

I ate here before 3 years ago with a tour group and was totally impressed with the food and the vibe. On this trip I came with a friend (who is also a repeat visitor). Again, the food, vibe and resto team were great! Note that this restaurant opens at 8pm and closes at sunrise. Seriously! If you are out and about late at night in the 2nd arrondissement (or nearby), this is the place to eat as many places will probably be closed. Recommendations: start with the Cod fritters (It's a lot for an appetizer but so good you'll eat them all), Poulet Braise (Braised chicken), Alokos (fried plaintains) and Riz (rice). Oh! And don't forget a drinky-drink. That's a must-have for sure. :-DAnd, don't forg...
