"when someone who eats Indian, bangladeshi and Pakistani eating excessively regular while visiting cowes, I thought it would be good to visit a curry house. the menu choice was diverse, eating was fabulous, and the service was excellent. although it is not on the menu. I would recommend asking for the Keema rice what was the best I had in a few years. eating was quick to be served; delicious; the right heat (the naga I had was discovered in its fiery nature); the tikka was melt-in-the-mouth soft; and the naan brote were super fluffy. if they are in cowes and they enjoy subcontinent food, I recommend the bahar tandoori. Finally, the price was excessively reasonable. Please note that this is a private alcohol restaurant, but I do not tend to drink alcohol if I eat Indian food anyway so that this was not a problem for me."

Abdhul just has the best Naaga I have ever eaten, and I have had a few. All his food is excellent and consistently so. Bring your Own is ideal as it keeps the cost down. Peter

the best Indian food I've had for a long time. very cheap and delivered, exactly where and when we wanted. if I go back to cowes, I would definitely like to reuse their delivery service

Best takeaway we have had in ages, and our flat in London is by Brick Lane! Really good food, we have one gluten free, one vegan and one vegetarian, and everyone had a really good meal. Very friendly and lovely.

Excellent authentic Indian food. Really tasty. Owner was lovely and accommodating. The waiter was super friendly and throughly checked to see if we were eating well. Lovely place and would highlight recommend visiting if you want a great dinner on the island.

worst meal I had. put them up where it was cold, wore my coat for the duration. it took a long time to take order, then waited over an hour for food that arrived in stages and was cold. the waiters were ignorant and unwilling....always fight when busy, sad last time we will come here.

what a nice cozy, friendly Indian restaurant with delicious meals. I had lamb dansak, which was spicy with melt in her mouth lamb. the aloo gobi was delicious and chicken tikka masala spot on. fab garlic bread. they have no license to make theirs. bring your own alcohol. well impressed

Recently visited, booked a table over phone, highly recommended, we visited a few years ago and still possibly one of the best in UK. Our local Indian restaurant is very good but this far better! Price was very reasonable, bring your own bottle of wine/drinks,...you won't be disappointed Can't wait for the next time.

As the kids were out, me and my wife went to Bahars for a curry in peace and quiet. We have been coming to Bahars for years and it always brings back happy memories for us both and Abdul certainly didn't let us down this...time either! We had an extra hot Lamb Jalfrazi, Chicken Madras with Pilau and Special Rice. We also pushed the boat out with a Garlic Naan and Onion Bhajis, along with Abduls Mixed Pickle. All absolutely gorgeous and washed down with a Shiraz and a Beer as you can take your own alcohol. We ate everything and the plates could have been put straight back in the cupboard! Not a morsal left. If you love curry, I highly recommend Bahars, I honestly cannot find better, anywhere....
