Barley Mow Stonehouse Pizza Carvery

The food was just awful. I ordered fish and chips, but the chips tasted like they had been reheated, and the fish... well, the batter was extremely thick and tough, with hardly any fish inside. I would never return to this place; they should have paid me to eat such terrible food.

We had a wonderful experience here. There's a spacious, free parking lot outside, and the atmosphere inside is cozy. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They offer plenty of seating options, both indoors and outdoors, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The prices are reasonable, and the food was excellent. I would be happy to return! I had the carvery, and the meat was delicious, but there wasn’t much variety when it came to vegetables. There was no stuffing available either. While there were sausages, we couldn’t have any if we chose the meat option. Our child ordered the sausages, but they were overcooked, so they didn’t end up eating them. On a positive note, the waitress was very friendly, and the tables were all tidy and clean.

my son brought me to the barley mow this morning. excellent value for money, delicious food and beautiful staff. sam on the bar and dom the chef were more than happy to talk to us about the pub, the island and a sweat or two. a fantastic way to make customers welcome. my sohn has promised a return trip at the weekend for the fantastic looking pizzas and a bottle of wine. we look forward to meeting everyone there

Quite a large restaurant offering that cheap food stacked high! We were in the area for a couple of days and popped in twice for their breakfast, which is great value for money. £5.49 I think and you get a full English, all you can eat self-serve. Sausages, beans, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, fried bread, hash browns, black pudding and waffles. Oddly mushrooms are extra... maybe they're hard to come by in that neck of the woods!! Ver carta

Visiting Hayling Island and found this really nice bar restaurant. First impressions are , it’s very clean and tidy , Staff are very polite and friendly and the food was really good , from ordering to getting the our dinners the table was in good time and this place has a great atmosphere. We met Samantha and she made us feel very welcome here and had a nice chat where we picked her brains to find out what’s on the island and find activities on the island for them . 10 10 This place has dramatically improved since we last visited around 8 years ago .

As for the adults, we had the vegan nut roast and fish and chips, both of which were high quality and delicious. The vegan menu options were clearly well thought out, but unfortunately, there was no milk available for my coffee. Overall, I would rate the dining experience at 4 stars due to the food, but I would give it 5 stars for the warm and friendly service. The staff were incredibly understanding of my children's worries, and I can't thank them enough for that. Although the service was a bit slow at times, the meal itself was enjoyable and memorable.

We had the carvery and found all the staff to be helpful and polite. The selection of meats included turkey, gammon, and beef, all of which appeared to be well-cooked. We chose the gammon and turkey, and both were delicious. The turkey was moist and flavorful, while the gammon was tender and lean, with a great taste. There was an option to add pigs in blankets, and a nice variety of vegetables and potatoes to choose from, along with gravy and several table sauces. We visited on a Friday lunchtime and enjoyed the option to choose our seats. Overall, it was a delightful experience. Ver carta
