"We enjoyed an excellent meal at La Pasteria. The staff was friendly, the room very pleasant, and the food superlative. We started with frise, stracciatella and capocollo which was crispy, the cheese incredibly fresh and delicious, and capocollo a delight. We continued with a freshly made paste, mezelune, which were stuffed with grilled vegetables and in a wonderful sauce of yellow cherry tomatoes, basil, and smoked ricotta. The restaurant was suggested by an acquaintance and we were thrilled with our eating experience. Highly recommended."

"My husband and I stayed in Martina Franca for a visit and were looking for a recommended restaurant for lunch. This Resto was closed so we used Google to find another. What luck! Garibaldi Bistrot in Piazza, where the cathedral is Garibaldi Piazza, I think proved to be a great find. The family owners warmly welcomed us. We started with the zucchini flowers (my personal favorite), which were crispy and delish. My vegetarian man wondered about his paccheri with tomatoes, ricotta and basil. We shared an Arugula salad fresh, large part that we dressed with some fantastic local olive oil and finished with an incredible chocolate torta. So satisfied that we made another lunch two weeks later, which turned out to be even better. John had the same dishes as before (why change a good thing) and I won with the zucchini flowers and the Pasta special of the day Tortello (like Ravioli) filled with Taleggio cheese and pear and covered with a Parmesan cream and truffle powder. It was Mozzafiato! Beautiful clean and beautiful rooms with the freshest food and quiet very attentive service. Would return anytime."

"This is quite simply the kind of place we all dream about finding on holiday. I live locally, so often recommend it to tourists and visitors alike. We eat here all the time. It is impossible to exaggerate just how good the food is, how reasonable the rates, how large the portions and just how friendly and helpful the staff are, in this magical home-from-home with such high standards and low, low prices. I often feel sorry for customers at the large number of touristy eating spots in this highly popular tourist destination. I know they will be usually happy with their food and service etc, but as a local, I know that what they are paying so much for, is way, way below the standards we enjoy when we go to the Tavernetta for lunch, dinner or even order take-outs to enjoy at home. Two families share the running of this eatery. The two main chefs trained and worked at the most exclusive hotels and restaurants in Venice for years, before coming home to give us the benefit of their excellence and dedication to the best standards, at reasonable costs and super service and the rest. Be smart, eat here as often as you can, whenever you can and just be glad you checked first on Tripadvisor !"

"E' il migliore pizzeria in una citta' che si dedica a locali dove si mangia bene. This place is small and a little out of the centre, but, if you are interested in eating the best pizza you will find, anywhere, including Napoli, you have to go to Pomodoro e Basilico at Vico II Salvator Rosa , 15, just off the Via Bellini Car park. The taste is just amazing. The base is light, perfect, delicious. The toppings are a dream and a surprise and certainly not the usual often bland collection of basics that you get anywhere. No, the pizzas here are all an experience and leave you wanting to come back for more. I certainly will. Don't go for a simple margeurita. Let them excite your taste-buds and leave you stunned and smiling !"

"We had planned on having lunch on a dreary Saturday at a nearby restaurant and after finally finding parking, found the restaurant closed. We walked in here and our luck changed! The wife is a phenomenal chef! The husband, a gracious and accommodating host. He selected a wine based on our preferences that was absolutely wonderful! And not expensive! We shared a salad, starter of octopus and main of sea bass. Every bite was beyond delicious! I didn’t want to leave. It was the perfect way to spend a windy, rainy day in Puglia. So grateful to have had this experience"
