We went on their first Sunday carvery since lockdown. Food was very good and great value. Very friendly staff and all felt well organised re social distancing etc. Definitely recommend.

Visited for a family celebration. Nice airy room. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Nice varied menu. Lovely sea bass fillets and the puddings weren't bad either. Going back on Sunday for their carvery!

W were staying at the Barnstaple hotel and the weather was lousy so decided to eat in, excellent decision on both counts, food was very very nice indeed and prices were reasonable, Highly delighted with the staff friendliness, service and overall quality. Ver carta

The evening 3 course meal is outstanding value and soooo good real quality food with matching presentation. Who would have known in a town with limited Resturants that a top notch place was in its midst albeit a mile out of town. I travel a lot and this one will not disappoint. A big thumbs up.

My partner and I went to Brasserie restaurant last Wednesday evening for the first time since Covid. We had eaten there before, but this time was truly exceptional. The menu had a great variety, the tables were well spread out even though the restaurant was busy, and the food was outstanding. The waitstaff were also very efficient and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

Missed our trips to Devon during lockdown and we so pleased to get back here. My aunt adores the bar and restaurant here and service from the staff is truly first class shame they have to wear those infernal masks, but still they managed to maintain their warm welcome and standards. Meal was excellent although sadly still couldn't manage three courses. Great drink selection at bar. This place remains a firm favourite. Ver carta

We had a voucher gifted to us a couple of Christmas ago, which was extended due to covid thanks Brend Hotels; well we booked for carverys yesterday and boy it did not disappoint!! The best meal out for as long as we can remember and the section manager called I believe Anna was on the ball and the whole place ran (and the other areas) like clockwork! I know this hotel caters for a lot but deliver this quality on such a huge level is impressive. Well done to all the staff you deserve praise

The restaurant offers a selection of meats and vegetables for Sunday lunch, but I was disappointed to find that the gravy tasted like beef when poured over my lamb. I was disappointed to learn that they only offer one gravy for all meats served. I was even more shocked to hear that they would be serving the same gravy for Christmas lunch, which costs £80 per person. Despite being offered a vegan gravy as an alternative, I believe this is not satisfactory. I believe that the chef should be able to make individual gravies for each meat served, as I am able to make a tasty jus at home.

Very busy, but didn’t past our booked time. Three meats to choose from and every veg you can think of all for £10.95 Beautifully cooked and very enjoyable, pribaly one of the best we have had. It’s a carved so you can have as little or as much as you want. There are a selection of hot and cold desserts to follow if you have room for £4.95 something for everyone. Only downside is there is l8mited parking but there are places to find outside of the hotel grounds so I wouldn’t let that put me off. Staff are amazing, it must be a Brend thing as the quality of service, friendliness and proffesi9nalism is portrayed throughout the chain. Ver carta
