Solid menu with different choices, good beer and very friendly service. A brilliant stop off as just enough off the A1.

Fabulous fried brie plus duck pate. Polite service from female staff who were well organised. Drinks were of fine quality too.

Christmas lunch at The Bay Horse, Kirk Deighton ….. unbelievably magnificent!!!! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the service was terrific. The food was to die for. We were a party of four and a my goodness we will be there next year. Well done and thank you for such a fine dining experience. Happy new year to everyone

We met up with family we had not seen for over a year. We chose this pub as it is equidistant for both us and our family. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent (personally speaking, the best fish and chips I've had for ages...proper Yorkshire batter My family were equally pleased with their choices, The service was friendly and efficient; what more could you want ?

Third visit this year and with friends on two of those occasions. Always a warm welcome with friendly professional staff. The pub is dog friendly with plenty space between tables for a lanky lounging Labrador! The food is excellent in quality and quantity, piping hot and well presented. We would recommend Pie of the Day a proper pie with a top and bottom and lovely light pastry. We will visit again.

we booked this pub for the family celebration of the 90th birthday of our mother. these are a total of 24 people, of which two are celiacs, for which a note on gluten-sized complains. the chef and the staff were super in every sight and very patient with us all. they ensured that the meal was gluten-free for the two celiacs and everyone enjoyed dinner. it was a beautiful evening that was made better by her good will. Thank you.

I discovered this hidden gem of a pub just off the A1. The menu is fantastic with a variety of options. We arrived just in time before they stopped serving food, but they were very accommodating and allowed us to order. The decor is lovely and the pub is dog friendly. The service was excellent, as they showed us to our table, took our drinks order, and promptly returned with our drinks and took our food order. The menu offers a wide range of options and we decided on the battered haddock and lamb shank, both of which were delicious and cooked perfectly. It's definitely worth a visit, especially since it's only a 10-minute drive from the A1. I highly recommend checking it out.

We had hoped to eat on Thursday night.We called in but they were full so we said we would phone in for a reservation.The following day I tried to phone but the phone wasn’t answered and the phone message was out of date referring to a bank holiday weeks ago!I tried again the following day with some success and booked for the Saturday.We arrived early, had a couple of drinks and the staff kindly brought over some lovely home made rosemary bread to keep us going.It was however absolutely freezing as the Windows and doors were propped open.We eventually had to move to the other side of the restaurant.Other guests were wearing their coats!The food was excellent- mussels for starters, Cumberland...

we just drove by and decided to see if they are available for Sunday dinner, what was fortunate for us. we had not read reviews before we tried so blind, but so glad we found this little gem. the homemade rosemary and sea salt bread was a beautiful note and very good. the starter of home made black pudding was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend. the bratbeef was excellent, perfectly cooked and all the sides were fab. I would definitely suggest some of the cauliflower cheese on the side also order. we had only one dessert of the sticky toffe pudding and again that was excellent, even the ice with it was great. it is very clear that eating is served with the highest quality and al...
