"We had takeaway pizza from here- I felt like I’d walked into a family run pizzeria in Tuscany. This was borne out by the quality of our pizzas. Beautifully cooked, good quality ingredients and clearly made with love. I don’t know if they were wood fired, but they looked and tasted as if they were."

"Far Pavilion, 25 Bypass Road, Bolton-Le-Sands, Carnforth LA5 8JA Tel: 01524 823316 Date of visit: 21st October 2023. I have reviewed this excellent establishment many times over the years, the last time being in January of this year. Consistently good, with friendly attentive staff, who have been with them for many years in most cases. A family run business now run by the original owner’s son, Sam. Situated on the A6 near Carnforth on the edge of the lake district well worth the effort to visit and look around. Just a few miles from Lake Windermere. Tonight, I choose from their extensive and varied menu Pop’s with the excellent pickle tray. As on this occasion I took a friend we decided on the mixed Starter for two which consisted of, Chicken Pakoras, Shish Kebabs, Onion Baji, chicken Tika, with a selection of dips the mint dip being particularly worthy of a mention. Next round was for me, Chicken Ceylon, Now I have to say that this dish was excellent, big soft succulent chunks of chicken breast in a well spiced three chilli, coconut sauce. Trust me one of the best I’ve had for a very long time. My friend went for the Butter chicken on my advice but unfortunately, it was a little on the sweet side for her. Soft fragrant fluffy Pilau rice and an excellent peshwari Naan completed the order. As I was not driving, I allowed myself the indulgence of two pints of Cobra to help it all down. This place will continue to be up there in my top five restaurants. Just a shame it is not nearer to where I live! Parking no problem £65.00 for the quality is more than acceptable. 9.5 /10"

"my wife invited me to a birthday dinner tonight with recommendations. we chose chicken and sweet corn soup. my wife enjoyed her suppe, as for my self my suppe was ok I had better off our...local farewell, I prefer to put in like for example garnel and mushrooms etc. to be sisable size instead of being finely chopped. the service was polite, but slow. there was no table check to see if the guests enjoy. after a waiting period came the main course, my wife sweet and sour huh was ok basic sauce huh very little in the type of obst and veg in the sauce that was a little on the hearty side, instead of the sweet side, i fried rice was over boiled. for me I went for the special chow my, regrettably the noodles were a clutenous and gele fied, meat and vegetables were cooked nicely, but the meal was cool instead of hot. we were not offered hackstocks and again there were no tables following to check if the meal was to our pleasure. we would go back, yes, I will eventually see that we had not chosen bad night. but I think the owners need to invest a bit in the cutlery, as it looks very tired and the decor needs attention that it looks tied. ."

"this was a 20-minute drive for us to the time, but definitiv it worth. food grades, awards and cleanliness certificates all visible on the wall, which is beautiful to see. all the foods tasted beautiful and fresh. we had draughts, vegrolls and fantastic seatang for starters. zitrone huhn, chicken curry and fried rice were just as good. can wait to order again!"

"I ordered through Lancaster Eats. During the day they have quite a comprehensive breakfast menu and then the menu switches to Mexican food. There is a selection of meat vegan and vegetarian dishes. They also do wrapless burritos and so catering to several dietary requirements. I ordered a mixed meat and rice box which consists of pulled pork , habenaro chicken, chilli and beef topped with soured cream , guacamole, cheese and crushed nachos. I also ordered halloumi on the side. Mixed meat and rice box £8.00 Halloumi £4.00 Delivery £2.50 Service charge £0.50 Total £15.00 Min order £8.00 I ordered at 17.05 and it was predicted to be delivered 18.15 . The order arrived 17.40 so that was a bonus. The hallomi side dish had six pieces which is a good size for a takeaway. The mixed meat and rice box was a massive portion to the extent I have split in half to freeze for another day. Its not spicy except for some of the meat having a slight kick but tasty, the meat was beautifully cooked and there was lots of it . The only think I would say to improve it would be you could select your spice level. The pictures don't look great as Mexican is messy but it tasted good."
