Great spot, lovely friendly staff. The sausages rolls were amazing abd the cinnamon bun......so good. Coffee was good too

We had a lovey lunch here today, the peanut satay tapioca chicken pieces were amazing and so were the cheesy fries. Highly recommend for a yummy food and a chilled out vibe.

Wow , the new menu is awesome. Had the loaded crab fris the other day (stunning) and now just had the fried chicken with miso honey sauce , which was so juicy !!! Highly recommended Ver carta

Great little spot, good food, plenty of options. Reasonably priced. Right on the beach, so good views. This was our second visit, we had the loaded crab fries, would recommend you try them

Lovely owners and very chatty. Felt very welcome and love going there. Never been a fan of seafood but the crab fries where amazing !!! The coffee as well was the best thing I've ever tasted.

Stumbled across this hidden gem whilst walking along the front. Fab atmosphere with cool vibe and really great coffee (peaky blenders). Had the crab fries which were delicious although they stop serving food at 230pm so made it just in time. Service was great and friendly. Really great little business compared to the usual bigger names too. Ver carta

Had the best day here yesterday. The chicken was 100 times better than Bok shop; and cheaper. Equally brilliant is The DJ (and his lady) who plays tune after tune after tune. Just when you think it can’t get any better you meet the owners and staff who make it even cooler than it already is. We come here as much as possible it’s our get away from our busy, crazy lives

If you haven 't been to Barista the shack along Hastings seafront, you are missing out. This is a great location, with plenty of seating, including booth type areas. They serve hot drinks, great coffee by the 'perkyblenders ' and alcoholic bevarges for those lazy summer days. They have a snack food menu, created by Kimberley Dukee. We tried the fried chicken in Gochujang flavour and Satay flavour and a camambert swirl, all were delicious. All the packaging is recyclable supporting the environment, which we love! This is great find for passing by and grabbing a drink or sitting and enjoying the sea with a light snack

We visited Barista The Shack at around 11.30am on a Sunday morning. My partner went up to order and asked for the crab fries which they had run out of. So he came back to me and we decided to order the sausage roll instead which had also run out. He then came back to me again and we settled on the chicken wings. It was only at this point that the lady serving informed him that they actually didn't have any food so we'd have to just have drinks. I don't know why she didn't start with that message instead of letting him run backward and forwards to our table! She was unnecessarily rude but no problem, we went a little further up to Goat Ledge and had a much friendlier experience! Ver carta
