"My first visit to Beadlam Grange. It is somewhere I have passed on many occasions but never visited. There is an on-site Farm Shop and Deli with amazing looking fresh produce and meat. Also a Home/Gift Shop. We dined as a party of 3 at the Bistro for lunch. The staff were unfortunately not overly welcoming and appeared uninterested. The menu choices were limited however the food was well presented and tasty (possibly overpriced in my opinion). The seating environment was comfortable however it was dusty and there were quite a few cobwebs. For the prices, I expected better attention to detail and customer care. I would not choose to dine at the Bistro again however the Farm Shop and Deli made the visit worthwhile. Plenty of on-site parking and toilet facilities were available."

Busy farm shop and cafe, we had a lovely breakfast, bought some goodies, the staff were great and they are dog friendly too!

It is very different in these times but they have managed the situation well. The meat was excellent, particularly the bacon no water came out at all.

Lovely lunch and would reccomend the food. The tables are covered over but no sides on so take a blanket if it's cold. Would be even better when sunny. Staff are very nice and reasonably priced would reccomend. See below picture for seating areas.

Afternoon tea for a family birthday: food was very good, generous portions, beautifully presented and good value for money. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the surroundings, both in the tea room and former barn area, were charming. Farm shop and homewards shop were both very good and well worth a visit too. We was recommended to visit Beadlam Grange Farm shop/Restaurant and we was not disappointed, the full breakfast was very filling and there was no problem with dietary changes. Dog friendly in the Restaurant but not in the Farm shop, we could have had our hair cut as there is a hair dressers on site (bookable). Staff was very helpful in the Restaurant the shop.

The food was good but the service was disappointing. We were first to enter the bistro at just around 9.30 and the cafe door was opened by a young woman who made no effort to smile, welcome us politely or acknowledge us other than to say I 'll get some menus . I 've got to say first impressions stick and I felt like turning round and leaving. She was miserable and clearly had no training in customer service. She served the food , we ate and left. I don 't think I will be recommending this place based on her behaviour. It 's a pity .

We popped into this farm shop a few times while staying in a cottage nearby for provisions and on one occasion for breakfast. There is a decent selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and cakes, plus a butchers. Also an interesting selection of local produce such as jams and chutneys. Some local beers too. They also stock Cook frozen meals and the Helmsley ice cream is highly recommended. The breakfast bacon baps were good, as was the coffee. Service in the cafe was friendly and efficient service. All in all very convenient if you’re self-catering in the area. Ver carta

Booked a table for two at lunchtime today and were so looking forward to a tasty meal after shopping in Helmsley. When we arrived we were left standing for ages and finally shown to our table. It was nearly 15 minutes before our order was taken and another 25 before our food finally arrived! By now we were really hungry but sadly the Christmas lunch was of a poor standard almost raw parsnips and carrots) and the steak flatbread was not as described. Where was the blue cheese? It was mostly flatbread with chutney /smearedgravy and watercress. We have enjoyed our visits here before so what has gone wrong? A change of chef? Will be a while before we are tempted back.

I fell while out walking 3 weeks ago and have been housebound but today decided to try and get out to do some Christmas shopping and have lunch out. We were lucky to be able to park near the entrance and it was easy once inside to browse. We found some lovely gifts in the farm shop and also in the gift shop. We went into the outside barn type area as we hadn’t booked and the cafeteria was busy and no tables available. We ordered the Christmas burger with chips and myself a hot chocolate and my husband a cappuccino. We enjoyed our lunch and I found the disabled toilet great. Friendly service. The bill was £29.00. Will definitely visit again when fully mobile. The only thing is I wish there ha...

"The problem began with our arrival. We are 3 adults in our mid-60s and we had already climbed one set of steps to access the bar in the pub. We were escorted to our room up two more flights of narrow stairs. On entering our room, we could smell the damp in the room and discovered mould on walls behind furniture and in the corners of the window frames. We checked the prices of the evening meals on offer and there wasn't enough variety for our party and they were quite expensive. So we decided to eat out. I asked what time the pub closed and was told, when the last customer leaves. I thought that was a bit vague so I said that we would be back at 10-ish. We arrived back just after 10pm to find all entrances to the pub were fully locked up and we were unable to get in. I called the pub and, after a while, my call went to voicemail with a message that there was no one to answer my call. I left a voicemail, this was followed by another message to say that there was no one to respond to my voicemail! My party had got back into the car as it was raining and I drove to the front of the pub and sounded my horn for some time then drove to the back of the pub. At this point, a man appeared saying he had a message to come and let us in so, finally, we got in to the pub to access our room. We had an uncomfortable night but managed to get up for the early breakfast (great breakfast! and check-out. We raised all the damp and mould issues with the man who had let us in and, as one of us was asthmatic, told him that we would be leaving a poor review of the room and that they shouldn't book that room out to any one else until the issues were resolved."
