"We stumbled past the restaurant and saw the fresh meat on show and noticed it was cooked on the parilla unfortunately it was closed on the Monday we planned to eat there. I looked at the reviews on tripadvisor and it only had two reviews one good and one bad (mainly price) by the time we got to go to the restaurant there was another bad review. This was off putting and we felt like not going. However I am glad we did go as it is hard to get good well cooked food especially when there are so many pictures of food at every corner! First impressions were good friendly, seated quickly, then I realized that I could not identify the waiters, in fact as I was wearing a checked shirt that was the same as them and could have been mistaken for working there! Also noticed the Chefs were in check as well, normally well earned proud chefs wear whites toque. Also looking around the roof area where we were sitting you are over looked by high rise flats, derelict buildings or a blank wall. Looking into the restaurant there are 20 hanging ferns with irrigation pipes to each one, not exactly appeasing! The staff when we knew who they were, were slow clumsy. We didn't want to come across as tourists as we live on the islands and went through the menu where they offered their showcase dish which happens to be the most expensive. As mentioned before in reviews do you really want to pay 33€-41€ a kilo for a T bone? Apart from T bone the rest of the menu is very reasonable but with Canary cuisine you get what you ask for, meat potatoes will just be that. Our order was chicken, fillet steak, pork rib grilled veg, jacket sweet potatoes, bread mojo sauce for three people, house red wine. All was cooked exceptionally well with a surprise in the veg of grilled melon and pineapple, we did not want to leave any on the plates but there was more than enough for all of us. There was a long period of time between asking and getting the bill to the point of having to ask for a chupito to see us through. These were on the bill but struck off, not sure if it was because of the wait or just free? Normally here free at the end of a meal. The down sides: ambience, looking at walls or pipes to plants, I would rather look at the chef cooking on the Parilla. Staff could be more professional and hate to say it but be branded in something other than check shirts! Bread served in a paper bag like from the bakers! No condiments on the tables or offered, charged separately for the bread mojo normally included, just makes the bill confusing. And as everyone has commented on the price seeing the first advert at the door for 33€ a kilo for steak may not be a good idea. The up sides: forget the ambience, up stairs is Ok when hot, more of a restaurant inside but warm, people eat here like the food. Food was all cooked perfect......... It is the best way to have meat cooked and in the city it is very rare to be cooked over the fire. I had fillet steak and it was less than 15€ but had to buy the extras so what? Our total bill was 66€/22€ a head including wine!!! If I had the room and the money I would have a T bone but it would be the most expensive steak on the Islands! But you must respect that it is good quality meat. If you can't afford it don't have it! Simple. Best meal in Sant Cruz yet and been here a while."

Un restaurante encantador con un personal muy amable. Fui con mi esposo, hija y dos nietos y todos disfrutamos de nuestras comidas. Sin duda recomendaría este restaurante.

Este restaurante tiene su propio encanto, un espacio abierto y un buen ambiente. Pedimos pulpo a la parrilla por 18 euros la porción. Estaba bien cocinado y estaba acompañado de un acompañamiento tradicional. La cerveza cuesta 1,80 euros y la cola 1,80 euros. No tenían salsa de ajo ni mayonesa de ajo, un poco aburrido solo tener tabasco como condimento (además de sal y pimienta), no hay pimiento ni platos pequeños con salsas tradicionales.

Taken to this restaurant by some friends. Nice atmosphere. As you walk in you see the range of meats. If you are a carnivore this is the place. Very good meat. You can choose from many different cuts. We chose steak tartar as one of the starters. Very good. The other starter was grilled vegetables. A little disappointing. You don't expect a grilled apple or pear with the dish. Otherwise the Irish (35 days) chops were very tasty. The desserts settee good. Not bad value for money. The staff were very good, attentive and friendly. Will go again and recommend the restaurant.

No puedo entender por la vida de mí cómo nadie podría no gustar este lugar ni siquiera llamarlo caro. Para menos de 10 euros se puede conseguir una comida y bebida principal perfectamente cocinados, comidas similares “estilo” en el Reino Unido fácilmente le costaría el doble. Tenía el pollo medio con patatas de chaqueta, el pan como un simple principiante con Alioli y 2 bebidas, me costó 13e y fue fantástico de la calidad de las carnes a la sazona y la cocina. También estaba envidioso de la comida de otras personas así que probaré el filete la próxima vez que vaya. El personal era amable, nos sentamos en la terraza y no había nada que pudiera haber sido mejor. Volverá a ir.

Una comida encantadora. Uno de los mejores trozos de carne de res que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Y la mejor comida que hemos tenido en Santa Cruz hasta ahora. Comida y vino soberbios. Mi esposa y yo ambos tuvimos de entrada una ensalada de roast beef y luego compartimos un trozo de carne con papas horneadas. Además, una botella encantadora de vino y agua. Seguido de un postre de manzana con helado. Todo fue abundante y muy sabroso. La carne fue a la parrilla y cocinada a la perfección. El servicio es muy bueno y los meseros están muy dispuestos a ayudar sin ser intrusivos. De hecho, solo le dijimos al mesero lo que queríamos y él recomendó con qué ir. Vivo en Santa Cruz y he estado deseando comer aquí por algún tiempo. Mi familia y yo finalmente tuvimos una oportunidad el sábado por la noche y nos encantó. La entrada y el comedor de abajo es luminoso y aireado. Decidimos sentarnos arriba en la terraza abierta donde tienen mucho espacio. También es bueno ir alrededor de las 9pm si tienes niños más pequeños ya que se llenan rápidamente alrededor de las 10pm. Mi esposo dijo que el entrecot era delicioso y mi edad de 12 años y yo ambos pedí el solomillo, raro (me partí el mío con mi 7 años). Nuestro starter era un amplio plato de jamón serrano. La sorpresa para mí fue la lámina envuelta de patatas al horno, o patatas dulces, que fueron hornea...
