"The seating area in the restaurant is lovely and airy. We found a table with ease but it was mid-week. I imagine the place can become rather crowded at weekends and bank holidays. My husband chose Thai chicken curry which was served to him from the deck straight away. I asked for fish burger but was told we had to order that at the till with a table number. What is that nonsense all about? This meant that while I went to pick a table, my husband had to wait around with his plate of food in hand before he could pay and order my fish burger. How would this work during busy periods if you're a lone diner? Someone else may have grabbed your table in the time you'd stood in the queue for 10 minutes waiting to order and pay. As a result of this ridiculous system, my husband had long finished his meal before mine arrived. This crazy ordering system needs to be looked into Mr Bent! To be fair, both meals were tasty and enjoyed. However, the prices are insane! You are basically an upmarket canteen charging restaurant prices and at more than £6 for a slither of cheesecake, I am glad I was on a diet and could quite happily skip the dessert and cake counter guilt free. I agree with other reviewers that the whole system is chaotic. Have hot food on one counter, sandwiches and snacks on another and cakes and desserts on a totally different one, etc. I don't understand this idea of mixing and matching although I presume the idea is to remind you when ordering hot food that there are cakes and desserts on offer as well. We enjoyed the garden centre section and bought a few plants. but that was pretty much where our interest ended. I purchased some veg and salad from the food hall but don't see why you have franchises of Lakeland and a cook shop which basically sell the same things, virtually next door to each other and don't get me going on the hideously expensive indoor section selling lady's clothes and home decor. I would have liked to see a better selection of garden furniture and furnishings such as they have in Gordale and Burleydam at Ellesmere Port and on the Wirral. Both have a far better balance of home and gardenware. It's all a bit weird and confusing and I won't be rushing to go back."

Always loved bents, been going for years and I’d never went to the tapas restaurant until now! The only thing I regret is not going sooner! 10/10 food with 10/10 service!

The tapas restaurant is sooooo underrated!! For a small restaurant it serves class food. Everything made fresh infront of your eyes! The chefs friendly and all the staff make 100% effort to please. Couldn’t fault the place.

Great shopping and spot of tapas. The servers are really helpful. Ewan was so helpful and explained the sharing platter to us. Great hospitality and credit. Nick the chef very friendly and attentive. All In all a great day out. Recommend the Patats Bravas, Peppers, Tortilla Slow Pork. Ver carta

I visited Bents today and overall, the place is excellent. The only downside is the incredibly high prices at the cafes. I can't understand how they justify charging £6.25 for a small strawberry tart with no extra cream. More fool to the people who pay those prices. I did enjoy a large latte which was a good size and reasonably priced.

The restaurant has a large retail area filled with plants, homewares, clothing, food, and miscellaneous items. The plants are pricey but of great quality. My main issue is the confusing and cluttered layout of the store. I couldn't find any exit signs or indications of the emergency exit routes. Bents is consistently busy and I believe this is a serious oversight by the management.

We just got home from Bents today, we had a lovely time there. We didn't expect to build a vegetable garden at home when we left. We went to the café, got a latte each and one of bents HUGE famous scone, we even had to ask if there was a takeaway box because we couldn't finish it. The ladies behind the counter gave us a nice warm welcome, the french girl took time to help us download the bents app to create our account, she was excellent thank you again we will be back xx Ver carta

Went to bents, had an Amazing time, first of all had a wonder around, ended up purchasing a jacuzzi from bents which I am in love with as it’s now been delivered great credit to Phil Mark at jacuzzi for all there help and customer service. After doing some light shopping in there supermarket which is fabulous especially the butchers we decided to have a light spot of tapas which was absolutely delicious well done to the chef. Seen on previous reviews it’s worth a try so we certainly did. We had the tortilla and meatballs and some peppers very good. After this we went and had a look around the other shops pet shop and cooking shop. More for a browse than anything. All in all a great day out....

I am incredibly disappointed with the poor service and low food quality at this restaurant, especially considering the high prices they charge. The whole operation is disorganized and chaotic. Even though the tables are numbered, you can see staff wandering around looking for the right table to deliver food. My daughter ordered a sweet chili chicken ciabatta, and thankfully she saw that the sandwich wasn't even going to be buttered until she asked. She had to ask for more filling because the server had only put a few small pieces of chicken on it for £12.99, which was unacceptable.
