"It was late, very late, so we had little choice as we drove into 'the world 's first fish and chip drive through '. We went inside, past tables strewn with an excess of cartons and paper bags. The pricing was very confusing. Posters on the wall exclaimed 10 pieces of chicken for £4.99 yet they were £12.99 on the price list lit up behind the counter. Posters had burgers from 99p yet they were from £1.49 on the neon signs. We both had fish and chips and mushy peas. We fetched them from the counter and they were served in throwaway cardboard boxes and even given to us inside a paper bag, which was a complete waste as we discarded it immediately. The fish was tasteless, chips OK and the peas were not mushy, they were pureed. The whole visit was just awful and we 're not being snobby. We do eat in cheap places now and again but we expect value for money whether it 's The Ivy or Wetherspoons. Why do they use so much packaging, all of which has to be thrown away? Why is the pricing unclear? Why don 't they clear up more regularly. We 'll stop now as we 're starting to feel ill."

I had fish and chips. The fish was cooked fresh, but the chips were very stale. I would not recommend this establishment.

An experience never to be repeated. 5pm you expect freshly cooked food. Staff could barely speak English they looked miserable. Pizza Chips was barely warm. There are much better Chip shops in the area. Ver carta

chips were the star of the show, freshly made and cooked to perfection, salt and vinegar perfect. 10/10 wings were in the middle, the flesh was not something spectacular, but the coating was spiced. pizza was good, small. they have a deal for £ 1.99 they get a part of chips (big enough of a part) and either a piece of small pizza or some wings. excellent price and really nice chips, large portions that they end for lunch can not recommend enough. would only be inconsistent that they have to pay for each sose at all, but in any case no deal breaker for how beautiful it is. personal

I and my kids met up here at lunch time, what a mistake and never to be repeated again! I had the most awful Panini ever, over filled with mayonnaise which I never asked for! It was a horrible combination of vegetables, lots of mayonnaise and hardly any cheese. Obviously the chef didn't understand what a vegetable Panini is or how to construct one. There wasn't any hot drink available when we went on a cold day, hot drink machine wasn't working. The staff didn't understand English very well hence had to repeat our order over and over again. I won't dare to go there again as hated every moment and regretted ever going there in the first place.

"The food is really enjoyable. Some of the meat can be a bit dry in parts but generally speaking it's quite good. Is it better than what you'd get at the average chippy? Not for what it costs. Ordering two box meals and a couple of sides got the cost up to £50 with charges. Considering a large mixed meat in naan at my local chip shop is £7, it's incredibly expensive. There's far too much waste which really needs to be addressed. Every food item is at least two layers of packaging deep. With a box meal you have the outer corrugated cardboard box, then all dividers inside, then the kebab sandwich is in a box of its own, then it's in a foil wrapper, then it's in a paper wrapper. It's all needless waste and when we're all trying to be more conscious of our carbon footprint this just isn't required. There are some nice things that just aren't replicated elsewhere, their kebab bread is fantastic and very similar to a traditional Turkish pide. Their sauces are really good too. Full of flavour and balanced well with the meat but I will say there's never enough of it. Three little poxy pots is all you get.The fries are average. Nothing remarkable about them. The spicy fries are a tasty addition but this option does bump up the price but again, perfectly average.Overall I'd recommend that it's worth trying at least once but the prices are way over valued and quantity in some areas lack. If they cut down on all the needless packaging they could even bring the prices down but £15-20 for a box meal (one can of pop, one kebab sandwich, one fries and two spring rolls) it's a bit of a joke."
