Food is great - special mention for the Beef Taki ! - and always a wonderful variety to choose from on the daily menu. Great cocktails and wines. The staff is just adorable. Would love to go every night - thank goodness it is right down the road .... our local favorite BRAVO !

Another visit to La Rague with Camembert Serrano and Salade Bistro to start, , 2x Veal and a fillet steak to follow with coffee to finish. Bottles of Petit Chablis and Brouilly to drink and an overall bill if €223 for three. Not cheap, but worthwhile in the setting of this beautiful port.

We were on the way to another restaurant as well, but the kitchen was closed so we stayed here. What a service!! Ronan, our waiter, provided us with everything and more what we asked for. And our requests were quite random at times. And of course the food and the location are great!Thoroughly recommended! Thank you!

We returned to the Bistro, and my Sole was ok, though rathe small for €45 ,but unfortunately my wife's lobster was definitely not fresh, and the meat in the craw slushy and inedible. Without any argument, the €52 was removed from the bill. Problem solved.Prices have certainly increased (in Euro terms) but hopefully our disappointment was a one off.

After a shaky start, the Bistro is back on form, serving good everyday food at a generally reasonable price. Right on the port we enjoyed a salad chèvre miel, risotto and a belle entrecôte. We finished with a cafe gourmand and ice cream. A bottle of Sancere and an Irish coffee went down well. Total €126. Reasonable for a setting like this on the Riviera.Reservation essential in season.

Lunch with friends who told us about the new owner. Welcome was extremely friendly and the weather beautiful so lunch outside. Terrace looks great and ambiance always nice being in a harbour.But the food could be better. Tartar de Boeuf with a lot of mayonaise and it should be without! Fries were bad.My duck was good quality meat but undercooked and the potatoes like the french fries! The "loup de mer" was a big fish and well prepared. The excellent wine of "Domaine de l'Amaurique" is worth mentioning! We'll come back to try again.

We visited La Rague last year, and it was a disappointment, under new management since our previous visit. However, we decided to give it another go in January and I'm pleased to say it has regained its excellence. A lovely sunny day, so we sat out side, right on the Marina jetty and enjoyed a Belle Entracote and a seafood risotto with a mixed salad. A creme caramel and my usual ice cream, washed down with a Ladoucette Blanc, followed by an Irish coffee.total bill €127.50 - about average nowadays. Good meal and lovely setting. Much improved.

This used to be such a classy and good restaurant.....it's gone way downhill.....new management !On the up side.....the location is perfect - we sat outside in the sunshine right by the water, but in January not many boats were active....and the atmosphere was missing....that's it for the plus points I'm afraid.My steak was totally over cooked and looked very off putting on the plate the way it had been cut., the vegetables were good but it was a small saucer full.The prawns were fresh but again over cooked. The Rosé and white wine were lukewarm, no ice offered. Desert was ok'ish...nothing to get excited about.Over priced - totally over priced for what you get. I guess they will have lots of...

Despite years in the area we had never ventured into the port of La Rague. The parking is not easy if you are not an owner of a boat in the marina. All 8 of us descended for lunch on a hot summers Sunday, they were very helpful and found us a table. There was food to suit all of us, kids menu to pizzas (excellent) and steak, yummy burgers, and fish. I had really delicious linguine with half a lobster. Service was very very good. We discovered Franck used to be at the St Charles restaurant in Mandelieu which has been a local haunt for a while, he has been here for 4 months and those things we were missing from St Charles when he left are now here.
