"I had a wonderful experience at this charming café/restaurant. The tea and tea cake were beautiful, and the coffee was stunningly delicious. I also enjoyed a lovely, decadent small cake served in a clean and bright setting that had a quirky, kitschy vibe in the most delightful way. The staff were lovely and personable, and I had a great conversation with the owner about potential future menu options. Everything was exceptional, and I highly recommend this place!"

"wow, what a fantastic meal we had on Saturday night. the menu had so many different dishes that we did not yet come, it was great to try new things that we were not disappointed. the choice was incredible, the eating piping hot, the service very good, plentiful portions of eating, not thrown out, relaxing atmosphere was a nice note after dinner drinks are offered on the house. highly recommended"

"I had lunch with a friend at this pub. It is a beautiful pub. I had phoned earlier to check their ability to provide gluten-free food and they said that as everything was cooked from fresh they could adapt anything on the menu. We had a very pleasant glass of white wine whilst waiting an hour for our meal. As the meal we had ordered was the cold fish platter. We were quite surprised at this rather long delay. Unfortunately, although the platter is served with bread, they had no gluten-free alternatives. I suggested chips, but these are cooked in the same fat as breaded food (this is a rather bizarre and old-fashioned way of cooking chips since it simply means the chips taste of whatever you've cooked with them! . Of course it's meant that the chips would be contaminated with gluten. So in the end I had a bag of crisps. This was a bad mistake since the crisps were naturally salty. The fish dish was so salty that it was almost inedible. One piece of fish I put into my mouth and my body just spat it out! It was an expensive platter at just under £25 for quite a small amount of fish. The staff were very friendly but slow."

"Went for a festive meal with family. Meal was good but could have been better. Starters were lovely especially the soup and mushrooms. The turkey main was a little disappointing. The turkey itself was very tasty, roast potatoes a little anaemic and only two of them. It could be improved by including the trimmings pig in blanket, stuffing, roast parsnip.The brownie was delicious, crumble very nice but very thin custard and a little thin.I must say the owners work very hard, Alister in the kitchen and Danni running the bar as well as waitressing.Well done overall a good meal, value for money.I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for the trimmings."

"I never give bad reviews but great tasty meal and reasonably priced for food. Drinks were absolutely extortionate but I guess that's how they make their money! A group of 10 celebrating a birthday. They took drinks order seperate, which was strange. After telling them 2 or 3 tines we needed seperate bills as everyone wanted to pay for their own meals etc, they presented us with a jumbled up bill, which was only food. Drink was on a seperate bill, which they would not give us to work out the extra cost. Everyone added up exactly what they had and we all paid separately. They then came to our table and said that we was £9 short. This did not make sense. We asked again to see the bill, so we could work it our for ourselves and they conviently said they had lost it, so how did they know we was £9 short. Either the menu prices weren't correct or they are diddling their customers. All in all, lovely food great company but s**t hosting skills!!!!! First time there, not impressed!!! Would return BUT would tally up as we go."
